You cannot exceed the exact replacement parts for fear of wiring meltdown. If you must get a hotter stove for say a Wok, you must buy a model for a wok. They are out there.

Is it all right to use cast-aluminum griddle which covers two burners on a smooth top electric stove/

I would avoid it unless the manufacturer says its okay.  I'd get in touch with them.
You did not say what kind of heating system the unit has.  Induction units will not work right with multi-burner systems and other systems such as radiant burners will cause heating that is not in the right places.

the gas leak can be the safety valve. in side the oven where the burner sits on you have to remove the burner to get to it.

Low Heat from GE XL44 gas range

you can increase the sides of the flames by opening the orifices, if not differences. make the orifices holes a bit bigger, you can have as big of a flame as you want. those orifices are at the connection of the burner with the valve that supplies gas to the burners.

Ge true temp stove top burner wont stay on

dont know how old unit is or how familiar you arewiththe unit, but the burner will need to heat up and cycle off/on. no matter how high or low you set the setting it will heat to a specific temp and cycle off, if hte burner remained RED all the time the glass would crak( so dont go by appearnce of burner, the glass should dictate the temp

Element light is on but no heat from the burners

You only have voltage coming in on one leg of the 240 line. Either the terminal block connectors are loose or burned or you need to check the circuit breaker in the house and reset it. It is also possible that one of the wires burned off in the back of the unit between the terminal block and the clock.
