My twitter page says that I need to enable java-script to access twitter. It has been working fine and today I cannot get on. I downloaded java enable. did not help.

Java script is native to all browsers. You may have it disabled. You will have to go into your browsers settings and enable java script within your browser. If you have any plugins such as "No Script" then you will need to disable them or uninstall them for Java script to work properly again.
If you meant to ask how to download Java (it is different than java script) then you would visit http://www.java.com and download the software and install.
Seeing as you posted this as a Facebook problem I would be satisfied to say that your problem is java script is disabled in your browser settings.

Sounds like you have a problem with your Messenger support software. This software is required to allow the Messenger program to function and is NOT downloaded with Messenger.

Check you have scripting enabled in Internet explorer
Click "Tools"
Click "Internet Options."
Click "Security" tab.
Click "Custom Level" button.
Scroll down to "Script ActiveX.controls marked safe for scripting"- enable
Scroll down to "Scripting - Active scripting" - enable
Scroll down to "Scripting of Java applets" - enable
Click OK
Click OK

After updating check you do not have old versions of Flashplayer, Shockwaveplayer and Java running alongside the latest - this can cause conflicts
Start / control panel / programs
delete any old versions

Sounds like you have lost some support software during the upgrade ( not downloaded with Messenger but essential to operate it ) - check your settings first

The problem is probably with the support software that drives Messenger - this is not downloaded with Yahoo Messenger but installed on your computer. Check your IE settings first

1. Open the Nokia web browser.
2. Navigate to a site that uses Javascript applications. You may see the error message informing you that Java is not enabled, and the website components won't work properly.
3. Go to "Options," "General," then "Java/ECMA Script."
   
4. Choose "Enable" to activate Javascript.
5. Refresh the web page. If the Java elements of the page work, then you have been able to activate Javascript on your phone. Otherwise, troubleshoot the problem by turning the phone off and on, or checking for any web browser software updates. You may also want to check another Java based webpage to ensure that the problem is not with the page you are trying to access.

uninstall the YM, restart the PC and install it back...

Java-script is a scripting language interpreted by you browser and is not installed on you PC like compiled software. Java, which is a programming language is installed by downloading JRE for www.sun.com.

If you browser is not running Java-script while viewing web-page, (eg: youtube) that is in you browser options, you probably need to enable JS in you settings. google "enable javascript YourBrowserGoesHere".

Im sure there is a problem with ur browser software... Try to Reinstall the browser software r change the browser software.
