This is my screen turned on. No DVD player inside. There are no cracks or scratches visable or on the screen at all. What is this and how do I fix it? Its pretty much new

That is a cracked screen, most likely got stepped on from the backside which left the glass on the front undamaged. The screen will have to be replaced.

How to solve NO POWER PROBLEM in DVD622

DVD power supply repair tips bridge-rectifier-repair.jpg?w=580&h=435
This demonstration fixes the power supply of a DVD player, but the skills transcend this one application. [Alan] walks us through the process of repairing a power supply (translated) on a simple consumer electronics unit.
Obviously this starts by cracking open the dead device and verifying that the culprit is the power supply. [Alan] then removes that board from the chassis and gets down to work with a visual inspection. He's got several images which illustrate things to look for; blistered electrolytic capacitors, cracked solder joins, scorch marks, etc. In his case there's obviously a burnt out fuse, but that merely protects the hardware from further damage, it's not the cause. Next he examines the diodes of the bridge rectifier. These need to be removed from the system to do so, which he accomplishes by clipping one end of each as seen above. He found that two diodes on one side of the bridge had broken down. After replacing them he tries a new fuse which immediately burns out. But a quick swap of the capacitors and he gets the thing back up and running.

My screen is cracked where can i get it fixed

see the cause and fix it:
1er alternative:
  1. Disc is dirty or damaged. Clean the disc or try another disc.
  2. Reset the color system of the player or the TV set.
  3. Try a direct connection from the DVD player to the TV set, instead of via other components.
  4. 2nd alternative:
  5. Enter Setup and then Player menu to select the correct screen format.
  6. Select the screen format from the DVD disc menu or press zoom key.

My dvd player fell on ground and not working

Sounds like some serious internal damage could have occured to both the motherboard and the DVD deck. If the board is cracked, or a corner of it is broken off, then it is unrepairable, due to the number of surface-mount components on its copper side. If it is the DVD deck, with a few loose pieces of plastic, this also would be unrepairable, as the replacement parts are next to impossible to obtain, if at all. If it is both, I am sorry to say you will have to purchase a new DVD player. This one may not be economical or possible to repair, but it depends on the extent of the damage within.

The cost to fix this broken player by a workshop would be considerably more than the price of a brand new one. it might not be worth it.

Tries it with many other DVD discs,If u have the same result the DVD player Laser eye is having problems and it dying, not reading Data's from the DVD disc anymore. If not, that only DVD disc, that have problems, than check DVD disc for smushes, grims and cracks on the DVD disc itself. If it is the DVD player having problems with it Laser eye and it dying. The DVD player is junk not worth repairing. The DVD player sell really cheap these days, like $40 for a brand new one.

My sanyo DVD player DVD DX-500 is playing but most of the time its stop playing. The disc is in really good condition. when playing the same disc of other DVD player its non stop

Dirty Read Lens. Usually dust.

To fix:
You will have to take apart to clean or blast it with pressurized air from side to side thru the Disc opening when it is open.

Initial screen shows "OPEN" in the top right corner

I had this exact same problem with my Protron DVD player. It was driving me crazy. I was about to just trash it, cause I was so tired of dealing with it. Then I decided maybe I should open it up and see what the issue is. I am not sure what exactly I did that fixed it, so I will just tell you everything I did. It works great now!! It's as if I know what I'm doing... but I was just playing really.

Here's what I did:
I unplugged it, took off the battery pack, turned it over and unscrewed the four screws holding it all together (one of the screws is located under a sticker that warns about voiding the warranty). Then I turned it back over, lifted the screen back and pulled apart the top from the bottom. It did kinda sound like something might crack as I pulled it apart, but it didn't. I just moved slowly and eventually got the entire thing separated, even the plastic around the hinge area will pop off, leaving just a couple cables connecting the top to the bottom. Again... I am not sure what I did that fixed it. But I found the button that would be located under the right small hinge of the DVD door that tells it if the door is open or closed. I pushed it a few times, thinking at first that something might be missing or broken that should make it work. I blew it out (just because it was opened up and I thought it couldn't hurt). I did notice a small white plastic piece near the back that fell when I had pulled open the entire thing. I thought it had to do with dvd door, but then realized it was the control that told the player if the lid was up or down. It had a wide side and a skinny side, with a flat piece in between. The skinny side actually sticks through the top section I had just removed. It shouldn't have had anything to do with the other problem, and it could have been in place just fine before I opened it up. I did put it back through the hole, using a piece of tape to keep it there while I assembled the entire thing back together. And then I was excited. I fixed it. I'm not sure how, but at least I don't need to buy another one. I don't know if it was me blowing it out, replacing that plastic piece, or playing with the dvd door open button. I would think it is the latter. (when it all apart there are two little black buttons near the back. one is just right of center, and the other is another inch or so to the right of that. the first is the dvd door open button, the furthest right is the one that lines up with the white plastic piece and the hole for lid open or closed).

That is probably really confusing. Sorry. I just explained as best I could. Let me know if further explanation is needed.
