Diagnostics policy service not running can't connect to internet says error 5 when trying to start it

I found a way to fix this issue after failing with every other attempt. Permissions were incorrect for registry entry: HKLM\System\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\WDI\Config In the advanced permission view I added Full control for: Local Service, NT Service\DPS, and NT Service\MpsSvc Hope this helps someone somewhere. I found it with process monitor and filtering for svchost.exe while launching the DPS service.
See microsoft's web page where I got this solution.

When I start my internet service it is connect with full bars but will not bring up a page and then has a little yellow yield sign. Diagnose say " The DNS sever isn't responding". what is wrong?...

Its an issue with the DNS service in the operating system.
For the range problem, u can update your wireless driver and BIOS from the manufacturer website.
Regarding DNS, you can try restarting the service manually.
You can also try system restore from safe mode.
The best way is to reinstall the operating system since if it is an issue with some kind of virus, we can remove that also.

HP Pavilion laptop turns off (re-boots) sporadically for no reason.

First, check to see that the RAM modules are functioning properly. It could be that they are faulty. Secondly, check the grounding and power connections and verify they are connected securely. Next, do a full system scan using your anti-virus program, or use this free online scanner:

If the issue still persists, it could be a mechanical failure of the power switch, or a motherboard issue, for which servicing is required.

Every time i restart my pc computer the wireless connection is lost and i have to go into control panel, admin tools, services and manually start wireless configuration. How do i get it to save the changes...

First go to start then run then type in services.msc
Look for wireless zero configuration. Change the startup type to automatic. Then click ok all the way out then restart the computer.
After that just connect once and it will be saved on the computer.

ALthough based on your question i can see that you know how to access the services window. What Id like to know is if you change teh startup type to AUTOMATIC and it still reverts to manual?

I got a cyberpower pc need help

Are you using windows XP or Vista. You should not have a problem if after you do a full system recovery, you add any service pack updates. Download these first and burn to a disk. Also make sure that all the drivers get reinstalled ok. After doing the recovery go into system device manager to see if your network card is installed even if it is a internal one on your motherboard.

If your connection is wireless you may need to setup a wired connection first from the router.

Time warner roadrunner usually works right away with little problems.

I have an ethernet hub to which my dsl modem is connected. I also have two computers on this hub so I can access the internet on both PCs. I am trying to also connect a belkin wireless access point to the...

You should try to upgrade to a router. The main differences between a router and a hub is a router has a microcontroller and a hub does not. The router can operate at something called a full duplex which means it can send and receive data at the same time, it will also come with an additional IP address, possibly your internet service provider will only allow a limited number of IP addresses per one line. First unplug another connection and then try your X-box connection.
