Problem for Initial IDM-1210 Portable DVD Player with Screen
Dvd not loading
When I insert any dvd into the dvd player I get a 'Loading' message on the screen, but the dvds never load. While trying to load, the dvd player is making a noise. At first I thought that the dvd wasn't spinning and that that is where the noise was coming from, but it's spinning when I go to remove the dvd. It seems like the dvd player just insn't reading/loading anything.

- I have the exact same problem with even finding a disc to clean my portable DVD (that one worked) and trying several discs with nothing but LOADING showing up on the screen. I am the only one that uses this, never dropped, never wet and usually in case when I travel. If someone has a solution that would be great!! Thank you.- rkalaskaSolution #1

The general amateur fix, and one with surprisingly high success rates is to brush dust accumulated on the laser lens.
This is assuming you get this with all disks, otherwise better not risk opening it.
Plug it out, open the screws, open it up, if necessary remove another board covering the lens, and gently brush the dust off. Assemble back and hopefully you're solved.
Anything else is for the lab(motor, lens assembly, focusing problems etc)
