Question about HP Color LaserJet 2600n Printer
My printer is about 3 years old and it has only recently started to print a light magenta shade over the entire page. Here is a link to a scan of a piece of a "blank" page printed by my 2600n.
I opened my word processor and without typing anything clicked print and that's what came out. I keep bugging HP for tech support but I think they don't want to admit that their product has flaws. I love this printer and I just want to make it work again. I've tried cleaning it, adjusting the paper weight, and replacing the cartridges. Nothing has helped a whole lot. Adjusting the paper weight seemed to help a little bit, but now it's getting worse.
I had a similar problem. See: http://www.fixya.com/PostQuestionTx.aspx?prdid=378544&ctgid=0&thid=1044936&type=2
Are you your replacement cartridge orignial HP?
I also had your problem on my previous HP printer (don't remember the model #). And I had it cleaned a couple of times, replaced the magenta cartridge (but with remanufactured), and could not get rid of the magenta. I gave up and bought a new 2600n, but now I wonder if I had used original HP parts if the problem would have been solved.
