Phillips MMS321 Speaker - Left speaker inop

Left speaker on my Phillips Speakers model MMS321 does not work.
On initial install they worked great. Now after a few months of no use the left extension speaker produces no sound from my iPod running through a DLO home dock deluxe or home dock (I tried both). The Home Dock worked in the beginning - now nothing.
Help.

I have tried all of the usual solutions: Loose wire to speaker, changes the connectors to the speakers from the dock, tried different docks know to work, not a peep from the left speaker. Seems to be dead. I have tapped on it, tried max volume from the dock, plugged and re-plugged everything possible.

This link should work. You can find the nearest authorized service center. If the unit is under a year old it is covered under the manufacturer warranty. If you need any further assistance please let me know.

Hi Kit

If the equipment is only a couple of months old, then you need to return it to the place of purchase and get a changeover for another working one. This is your best option, anything you do to try and fix it, like opening it up will void you warranty and eventually cost you inconvenience and money. Best solution for your problem.

Oh I should also add, If you wanted to check the operation of the extension speakers to see what part is causing the problem, then find another signal source to hook it up to and confirm that it is the speakers causing the problem. I get a gut feel it will be the speakers.

The speaker i a kind of equipment which will become dead only in a case
if it is not getting the signals. Otherwise if there is a physical
problem on the speaker , it will still give the sound. However it may
    be distorted.

Now in this case to check why the signals are not reaching the speaker it could be the

    1 Media

    2 cord

    3 soldering inside the speaker

You have already checked and provided the output from different mediums.

Rest in both the cases you will have to unscrew the speaker, and as
suggested by robotech, its better to take the replacement if it is just
    couple of months old.

I have a philips mms321 speakers. they are working fine on my laptop but not working on my PC. I think i need to install some drivers on my PC. Can u guide me which driver to install??

Go to the website http://www.ma-config.com/
there go to the "detect your configuration" option, follow the automatic detection step.
it will detect all the devices attached with the computer and from there you can install the sound drivers.
If you know the model number and the make of the computer...go to there website and you can download the drivers from the website as well

I bought philipps 100w, I've been using it for 3 months now, all of a sudden the left speaker is not working, what's wrong?

Replace left channel speaker , if the sound comes out, then the problem is in your speaker. But if the problem still the same ( note : make sure the cable is okay ), Then the problem is on circuit board inside your Phillips.

Left speaker blown or melted?

This isn't usually in the satellite speakers. The amplifier is usually in the sub and these have a bad habbit of blowing/burning up. Return or replace. Pretty common in this model.

Left speaker doesnt work

i've got the same speakers & have noticed that depending on the type and quality of the device that i plug them into i'll sometimes only get sound from the right speaker. i've deduced that this is due to the type of output the device offers. for example, if i plug the green tip of the cord into the headphone jack of a television with only one speaker only the right speaker will work. hope this helps

Right speaker doesnt have sound

1ST.-The right jack could be damaged!!
Usually, there is a [+} posaitve & [-] negative input\output to speaker connections. Not all [-]neg. is ground.Sometimes the [+] pos. is grounded. [The exception to the rule is that u SEE the black wire going to ground] the reason I am letting u know this is that u can test the INSIDES of the sound system.
If u can get inside of the unit. Cut the left speaker output [+] posative from both outputs. criss\cross wires.Place left speaker output to right speaker jack[ that does not work!!] & visa versa. If the [LEFT Output] stops working after u plug in the speakers, the internal RIGHT output is damaged. NEEDS TO BE TESTED
If nothing nothing changes. The left still works & the right still does not work, then it is the jack (shorted ?, opened internally ?)

Harman Kardon Soundsticks II left speaker

Hi, Kazim
Firts things First:
1) check connector for 2 way sound. you can use a headphone for this.
2) you also buy Ipod dock sound speakers, there is Ihome speakers, great ones, for less than 25.00 dollars.
3) you have to see balance on those speakers.
good luck
