Re: Replacing Door Hinge
Before replacing the hinge, try to spray on it WD-40 or an equivalent and wait for awhile, it might solve your problem.
In case it will not solved your problem and you need to replace the hinge, by removing machine's upper cover (open 2 screws on the back cover and then slide it out)you will have an access to it.
Good luck !

Without more information I can't be sure of your problem but I will make a guess that you removed the door without engaging the hinge locks. I am attaching a video that may help. All oven door hinges are not the same. Some require you to insert a screwdriver or pin in a hole to stop the hinge from retracting. My own oven door has retainers that snap onto the slot just above the hinge. When you remove the door these pieces are used to hold the hinge in the open position.
If the hinges are in the closed position you will have to figure out how to open them and hold them in the open position. Be Careful. The springs are very strong and can hurt you. I am including a link to a youtube video that may be the same as your oven door.

Hi!!
The doors Hinges or Striker need to be adjusted to make up for the weatherstrip thickness. To do this, loosen the hinge-to-door bolts for lateral adjustment only. Loosen the hinge-to-body bolts for both lateral and vertical adjustment.
FRONT DOORS
REAR DOORS
BEFORE YOU START:
Determine which hinge bolts are to be loosened and back them out just enough to allow movement.
To move the door safely, use a padded pry bar. When the door is in the proper position, tighten the bolts to 19-25 ft. lbs. (26-35 Nm) and check the door operation. There should be no binding or interference when the door is closed and opened.
Door closing adjustment can also be affected by the position of the lock striker plate. Loosen the striker plate bolts and move the striker plate just enough to permit proper closing and locking of the door.
TO ADJUST ON A:
F-150, F-250, Expedition and Navigator
HORIZONTAL AND VERTICAL ADJUSTMENT
Loosen the front door hinge to front door bolts.
Adjust the front door alignment.
Tighten the front door hinge to front door bolts to 19-25 ft. lbs. (26-35 Nm).
FRONT DOOR FORE AND AFT ADJUSTMENT
Check the rear door hinge adjustment before adjusting the front door hinge.
Remove the front fender.
Loosen the front door hinge to body bolts.
Adjust the front door alignment to specification.
Tighten the front door hinge to body bolts.
Install the front fender.
1999-00 F-Super Duty Models
DOOR ADJUSTMENT
The following procedure is for performing fore, aft, up, down and tilt adjustments.
Remove the door striker.
Loosen the bolts only enough to allow for slight door movement.
Carefully close and adjust the door until flush with the adjacent body panels.
Carefully open the door and tighten the bolts.
Re-install and adjust the door striker.
Check the door for proper operation and alignment.
STRIKER ADJUSTMENT
Mark the position of the striker before loosening.
Loosen the striker retaining bolts.
Adjust the door striker and tighten the striker retaining bolts.
Good Luck!! A HELPFUL - 4 THUMBS - rating for this solution would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for using FixYa.
Ovens
come in many varieties including freestanding units and stacked models
that are inserted into a wall. Kitchen oven units that get a lot of use
or are getting old may have problems develop, such as a loose or
squeaky door which may require replacing the hinges. You can replace
the hinges on the door to your oven by first removing the door from the
rest of the oven.
jQuery('.intro .thumbnail').each(function(i,e){
jQuery(e).find('img').one('error',function(){ jQuery(e).remove(); });
});
Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
Things You'll Need:
Screwdriver
Step 1
Open
the oven door and examine the hinges to see how the they are secured to
the door. Some oven doors slide into the hinge assembly or have a
locking mechanism that secures the door to a latch on the main unit.
Step 2
Remove
the door from the oven by disengaging the locking mechanism and then
pull the oven door out. You may need to release a catch on the door or
remove a pin from a hole in the hinge.
Step 3
Place the door on a flat surface such as a table or the floor.
Step 4
Remove the screws that hold the sections of the door together to access the hinges.
Step 5
Remove
the hinges from the door. The hinges may be attached to the door with
screws or they may be held in place when the door sections are
tightened or secured.
Step 6
Insert
the new hinges into the door and secure them with the screwdriver or
place the section of door back on. Tighten all of the screws securing
the sections together.
Step 7
Place the oven door back into place by sliding it on the same way that it came off.
Front doors are attached inside the microwave at the top and bottom of the oven cavity. Top case has to come off using, likely, security torx screw drivers. Remove the top hinge. Remove the bottom hinge. Door falls off. Replace the front panel of the door. Reinsert the lower hinge with the door, close and latch the door. Holding the door firmly to the microwave, tighten the door hinge. Replace the top hinge. (On some units, both hinges need to be installed at the same time. Use masking tape to hold the lower hinge - makes it easier.)
If your dishwasher
door is not closing properly or has developed a leak, it may be time to
replace the entire door assembly. Some other signs of a defective door
include sagging, difficulty pulling the door back up into a closed
position and a door that feels heavier as it drops open. Replacing a
dishwasher door is not that hard, but includes several springs and
hinges that must be aligned correctly or the door will not fit
correctly in the opening.
tep 1
Unplug
the dishwasher and shut off the water before attempting to remove any
parts. If you cannot reach the electrical outlet, you can turn off the
breaker switch that controls the electricity for the kitchen. Remove
the drain hose that runs from the dishwasher unit to the sink drain.
Step 2
Pull
the dishwasher out from the cabinet until you have clear access to the
side of the unit. Ask a friend for help with this part if the unit is
too heavy for you to slide out without straining your back.
Step 3
Check
your dishwasher's owner's manual to find out exactly how the outer door
panels are removed. Some models have a two-panel door where the control
panel must be removed before the lower panel will come off. Otherwise,
the door panel should be one solid piece or a two-piece assembly that
allows the lower section to be removed separately to access the springs
and hinges.
Step 4
Remove
the springs at the bottom of the door. Depending on the type of
dishwasher you have, there may be a tension adjustment dial or simply a
series of holes at different distances from the edge of the unit. If
you have a tension controller, adjust it to a loose setting to make it
easier to remove the door springs. Unhook the door springs from the
hinge plate. Some dishwashers
may have a cable and pulley system attached to the door springs. Check
your owner's manual for removal instructions if this is the case with
your model.
Step 5
Use
pliers to gently pull back on the door hinge plate's tab until the slot
opens for the hinge pin to come out. Take out the screws holding the
door hinge plate onto the front of the door panel. Hold onto the door
assembly while gradually opening the door. Once the door drops down,
you should be able to remove it by sliding the door off the hinge pinAlways wear safety glasses when working with the springs and hinges
involved with a dishwasher door assembly. These items can fly off at
high speed and cause serious injury to the eye.
Which door is it ? If it is a front door, then it may be the hinge pin bushing that needs replacing. These can be bought at any auto parts store. Get the pin and bushing set because the hinge pin will need to be ground off to remove it. Press the new bushings in with pliers and insert the new pin from the top
NOTE: A second person is required if the Flexi-Work Table 156-00070 is not available. Support the front door (20124) using Rotunda Flexi-Work Table 156-00070 or equivalent.
Mark the location of the front door upper hinge (22800) and front door lower hinge on the front door and body.
Remove the front door hinge-to-body retaining bolts.
Remove the front door hinge-to-door retaining bolts and remove the front door upper hinge and front door lower hinge.
To install, position the front door upper hinge and front door lower hinge to the front door and body. Install the retaining bolts. Tighten to 25-35 Nm (18-26 lb-ft).
Adjust the front door and front door upper hinge and front door lower hinge as outlined, and remove the support.
I have the SMEG F170-5 and had this problem after cleaning and replacing the door. It wouldn't heat unless I banged it shut. This action made the internal switch trigger, so I had to remove the oven (4 screws, slide out) and remove the right side panel (4 screws). The switch is actuated by the right hinge strut and it must have become bent slightly. I bent it a bit towards the door so that it would just a little bit more likely to make the switch trigger with the door closed and it now works fine.
You said, accidentally removed the door to my range and now it won't go back on. The door won't go back into the slots on the range.
Send me your e-mail address and I'll e-mail the diagram with the door instructions for removal and replacement. It will not fit in here with the diagrams. Waiting for you. Huuum Please do not forget to enter a rating when we are done
These are the installation instructions, but with no diagrams To Remove: 1. Open the oven door. Insert door removal pins, included with your range, into both hinge hangers. Do not remove the pins while the door is removed from the range. 2. Slowly close the door until it rests against the door removal pins. 3. Grasp the door on the sides with your fingers on the front of the door and your thumbs on the inside surface. 4. Pull door straight up, then toward you. Hinge hangers will slide out of front frame hinge slot. Do not remove door removal pins until the door is replaced on the range. To Replace: 1. Grasp the door on the sides with your fingers on the front of the door and your thumbs on its inside surface. 2. Hold oven door so that the top edge of each hinge hanger is horizontal. Insert hinge hangers into the front frame hinge slots. 3. Tilt top of door toward range. Slide hinge hangers down onto front frame support pins. Make sure the hinge hangers are fully seated and engaged on the support pins. 4. Insert the door stop clip with its angular surface at the top of the frame hinge slot, then push in the bottom of the clip until its flanges are flush with the front frame. 5. Open the door completely and remove the door removal pins. Save door removal pins for future use. 6. Close the door. StorageDrawer The storage drawer can be removed. Before removing, make sure drawer is cool and empty. To Remove: 1. Pull the storage drawer straight back past the drawer stop notch and the end of the side rails. 2. Lift up the back of the drawer and pull the drawer out. To Replace: 1. Lift up the back of the drawer and place it inside the range in its fully forward position. 2. Lift up the front of the drawer to a level position. 3. Slowly push the drawer into the range until the drawer side rails engage with the gap in the drawer glides. 4. Once the drawer is fully engaged on both sides, slide the drawer back into the closed position.
