HI,

I suggest you to switch to a 2500 mAh Nickel Metal Hydride rechargeable batteries first.

Check the battery contacts, if you see fluid or oxyde on battery contacts that can be the cause.

Test if the camera starts with a charger, if it has the socket, if it does not even start with the charger then camera is faulty.

In this case take it to a camera repair shop.

Are you turning the camera power on when you attempt to charge the battery? The camera power needs to be "OFF" when charging. When connecting the USB cable to your computer the camera must be "ON" and in the "PC" mode. Hope this helps.

My panasonic lumix ls80 digital camera turns itsel*** as soon as i turn it on

Be sure that your batteries are fully charged and in fact using name brand rechargeable batteries. If you are using Alkalaid, make sure they are fresh. Alks after a use that runs them down will come back after awhile for some more pictures. If you have fresh batteries and the camera turns itself off after turning it on, it probably has a problem in the power supply section or the switching section on/off on a circuit board.

My camera lens isn't working, how can I reset it?

it sounds like there is dirt, dust or something else in the lens mechanism. I'm assuming you don't want to take the camera to a repair shop. I've had several cameras and this issue comes up periodically.

You can try:

1. using compressed air (with as thin a nozzle as you can find) to blow out the dust,
2. try powering on the camera and zooming the lens at the same time, 3. gently knocking the camera on a hard surface to loosen the lens mechanism,
4. manually forcing the lens to go back in. This can potentially damage the camera, but it's not working now, so you don't have a lot to lose.
5. Googling the camera model to see if you can find instructions on opening the camera up to clean the lens mechanism.

I have a panasonic dmc-fs3 that will not power on. No explanation. Battery is charged. No repsonse whatsoever when switching it to the on position.

If its the same problem i got:

Remove the batttery for at least 20 mins to drain all power from camera.
Turn it back on.

Panasonic DMC-FX07 Digital Camera won't turn on.

Check your batteries, but otherwise it could be a power board. It could cost between $90 - $125 to replace the board

Just purchased a panasonic dmc tz5 and charged the battery and camera wont work.

What do you mean 'won't work'. Won't power on?

If it won't power on and camera and battery is new. I would suspect batterry or charger fault to begin with, assuming you know the outlet socket you charged it in is good. Charger should have green light on while charging batt for about 3 hours.

If you have a voltmeter, outside terminals of charged battery should read about 3.7 to 4Volts. Also be sure battery is installed correctly. Don't belive it can be reversed, but not sure.

Hope this helps.
