Good Morning i have a xerox 3100mfp its sowing me a printer error FUSER tEMP

Maybe try this, it woks on Sagem that also produces xerox mfp...

Follow the keystrokes set out below, do not worry about what is on the display unless stated to check. All letters referred to are for the keys on the alpha key pad to the right of the control panel, under the plastic flap.

1st option: Press down arrow, *, #, ok, 1, ok, stop (red button),
Press down arrow, #, T.
The machine returns to the error code. Switch the machine off for 10 seconds, switch
back on. If successful the machine will warm up and come ready.
Press down arrow, *, #, 0 (ZERO), ok, stop.

2nd option
Press down arrow, *, #, ok, 1, ok, stop.
Press down arrow, #, look on the display, press up arrow until "T>>PRINTER" is
displayed. Press ok. The machine returns to the error code. Switch the machine off for 10
seconds, switch it back on. If successful the machine will warm up and come ready.
Press down arrow, *, #, ok, 0 (ZERO), ok, stop.
If this is a recurring problem the firmware on the board may need to be upgraded, or there
is a physical fault with the fuser unit. Low voltage / power surges in the supply power to
the machine may also play a part in the occurrence of the error.
The firmware needs to be version 1.10.

To check the firmware version do the following:
Press down arrow, *, #, ok, 1, ok, stop.
Press down arrow, *, W
Firmware version is displayed. Press stop to clear screen.
Press down arrow, *, #, ok, 0 (ZERO), ok, stop.
5401:
Press down arrow, *, #, ok, 1, ok, stop
Press *
The trace lists will be printed, firmware version is after PRT, as in example below.
In this example, the printer firmware is: PRT V 1.5
It is older than V 1.10 and the printer firmware need to be upgraded.njk

HP LaserJet 2840 quit working when we were installing firmware update and power to building went off for a few seconds.

firmware corruption issue you will need to remove that printer from computer screen then reinstall it

then do firmware installation pre upgrade to stabilize(use cd or download of older version of firmware

once that's done then try the update again which won't work if old firmware is corrupted

I tried a firmware upgrade to resolve an issue with the router dropping WiFi connections but now it doesn't work even after a factory reset

Wrong firmware. Never upgrade firmware unless recomended by the mfgr or the unit itself can upgrade automatically like most newer Netgear models.

Buy a new router, they are very inexpensive.

My printer (P3005 PCL6) is showing an error 49.4C2D. However, it is printer may four pages that is after I switch it on and off and eventually it stops. Please help me

Hi

HP describes these as 49.XXXX errors (without the suffix numbers after the . (dot)). The general description is that a critical firmware error has occurred, but it's usually not firmware, especially if the printer has been fine until recently.

Usually it's corruption in the print stream for a particular print job, so it could be the program (does this happen with print jobs from a particular application or from all applications; have you installed new software or upgraded it recently for the application that causes the error if it's always the same application?), the driver (have you recently upgraded it?), data corruption in the connection to the printer (bad network or USB cable, etc.), or maybe the firmware.

If they're random, and you can clear them and bring the printer back to ready by clearing the print job out of the spooler, turning off the printer, then turning it on again, it's most likely corrupt data in a print job introduced by one or more of the factors above. If they're infrequent and not too much of a bother, you can just do that.

More information - here's an HP support document on troubleshooting 49.XXXX errors:

http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/Document.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&taskId=110&prodSeriesId=83436&prodTypeId=18972&prodSeriesI
d=83436&objectID=c01558499

Sometimes but rarely, they can be corrected with a firmware upgrade IF your model's firmware is flashable, and IF the problem is in the list of fixes.

Approach upgrading firmware cautiously since a firmware upgrade that doesn't install correctly can render the printer inoperable until you replace the firmware dimm with a new one.

To check for an available upgrade, go to hp.com.

Click Support & Drivers.

Select "Download drivers and software (and firmware)".

In the text box, type your model, ie: laserjet 2420d in your case.

Click the arrow button to the right of the text box.

At the next screen, pick your specific model if it's not already selected.

At the next screen, If a link named Cross operating system (BIOS, Firmware, Diagnostics, etc.) is there, the firmware is flashable. Click it.

If it's not, you would have to buy a new firmware dimm from HP to upgrade the firmware.

Important - At the next screen, do not click on the Download button. Instead, click the named link for the firmware for your operating system.

At the next screen, select the Read me tab. That contains all the information from all tabs.

Important - The cautious part: Look for your specific error in the Fixes list in the Readme tab information. If it's not there, I'd recommend not installing new firmware.

You can also contact HP directly for help. Just click your country here:

http://welcome.hp.com/country/us/en/wwcontact_us.html

I understand they now charge for phone support, but that chat and email support are still free.

We have a M2727 Laserjet Printer/Fax . We can print, and we can receive fax, but our problem is sending a FAX.. Keeps giving us an error code of 49. Please advise Thank-You, Marla

I found this on the HP website:

HP LaserJet M2727 Multifunction Printer Series - 49 Error Message Is Displayed While Faxing ISSUE: The printer control panel will be displaying 49 service error while sending faxes. The receiving fax will be lost, and the printer will display the same error even after reboot. SOLUTION: Performing a factory reset and a firmware upgrade is the only solution for this issue. Step 1: Performing a factory reset Restoring the factory-set defaults returns all of the settings to the factory defaults, and it also clears the fax header name and phone number. CAUTION: This procedure clears fax numbers and names that are associated with one-touch keys and speed-dial codes, and deletes any pages that are stored in the memory. The procedure then automatically restarts the product. Perform the following steps to restore the factory-set defaults: 1. On the product control panel, press Setup . 2. Use the arrow buttons to select Service , and then press OK . 3. Use the arrow buttons to select Restore defaults , and then press OK . The product automatically restarts. Step 2: Firmware upgrade After coming to ready, upgrade the printer firmware from the HP website. The issue can be fixed with any of the firmware upgrade available now. Firmware version 20080505 and higher versions have the fix. You can download firmware version 20080612 from the HP LaserJet M2727 Firmware Update 20080612 webpage. Click here to go to the HP LaserJet M2727 Firmware Update 20080612 webpage (http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareDescription.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodTypeId=18972&prodSeriesId=3377075&swItem=ma-55531-3&prodNameId=3377076&swEnvOID=228&swLang=8&taskId=135&mode=4&idx=3) . The preceding steps will resolve the issue.

My colour printouts from new Samsung CLP-310 do not match original WORD 2000 docs colours (or compared to HP deskjet. Is there a MS patch for this?

Hello,

There is an update for your printer. This is a firmware update. A firmware update, rewrites code located on the printer's main system board. The latest update is dated 10/17/08.

Flashing firmware does not have a go back element or undo, so it is really important that we verify your model and what seiries of printer you have. I suspect you have a CLP-300 Series printer and that the 310 of the 300 just describes some features added or left off and even who you purchased it from, in many cases.

Please look at these two photos and then post the data off the name plate for your model number in particular.

406eb47.jpg ccb435d.jpg

You will notice there are two lines to include in your reply.
1.) The Model: (first line)
2.) M/C entry (second to last entry in this photo of the label.

Once you verify this and I post the firmware update link for you, you will need to follow the instructions I include below.
