My TV for some reason has a bottle neck picture, I mean that at the top of corners of the tv the picture curves in. The rest of the picture is fine except that the color is more intense on a normal setting.

Re: bottle neck picture
Sounds like a bad main b+ filter or a problem in the horizontal drive circuit, such as the pincussion area. This is not a user serviceable repair.. If you know how to reoir tvs then good Luck but if your not a pro please take it to one.

This is not user adjustable. The problem is in the R G B circuit. Thr Red gun circuit is totally on! If this is transistor driven circuit replace the transistor. The component mostly mounted on the small PCB on the picture tube neck.
By distortion do you mean that the top part is stretched? If so, you have bad caps in the vertical circuit. If you are comfortable working inside hte set and can solder, you can fix this yourself. Please post the model number and I can give you the details.
Hi it sound like you a problem called east west correction. But you will need to take it to a repair shop to fix it. My self i charge about £30 to fix this kind of fault. But dont know what others charg All the best Bob
The solder could be loose in the CRT board witch is at the end of the picture tube neck, before you take the back cover out try a simple test put your forearm in the face of the picture tube and the hair should stand with the tv on that will mean you do have high voltage going to the picture tube but if the hair in your forearm does not stand with static it means the picture tube is missing high voltage and then reason for that is not necessarely a loose conection but a bad component in the main board. If you not familiar with tv service be safe and call for assistance.
