Question about Frigidaire FED367 Electric Kitchen Range

Frigidare Gallery Range 1998 model convection/baking drop in range

Came home and the was no display showing - control panel seems completely dead - last time we used the stove the display was so dim it was hard to see.

From what I have read it sounds like a board should be replaced and the cost would be roughly $450 - is it worth it to call a tech or should I just buy a new one.

Thank you so much! You have confirmed what we were thinking - I hate to throw good money after bad especially for a 10 year old range.

What have you seen that is the best drop in range these days?

  • JulieTT Sep 14, 2008

Where are you based? I am up in the mountains near Boone, NC - we only have propane gas and it may be hard to get a gas line to the location of the stove because the kitchen is located on the second floor with a bathroom in the basement underneath the stove.

I don't feel comfortable posting my phone number on the internet - if you give me your phone number or direct email addess I can contact you and would be glad to do business with you if you are near this area.

I advice that you are correct!

This like an expensive repair for an old range!

How old is the appliance?

If the appliance is 10 years old or more you may not be advisable to put good money into bad! New appliances are so much more efficient today that they can save you a lot of money in energy!!!!

Buy New and save!

Find the small privately owned and operated appliance store and you will get better service and good treatment! They also will be the best informed!

Frigidaire has some good rebates this month!
Some Up to $750. cash back

Bless You,

    hi, And good morning,
The best price is Frigidaire. They do not advertise and therefore give you more feature for the dollar!
idf you do not care about drop in or not!
I found some of my customers who do not want to spend so much money for a drop in,
(They all cost well over 1100 dollars)customize and cut away that piece of wood in front of the drop in
rang and buy a Free standing range
Or if you like the built in look a Slide in as I have.
    THE DIFFERENCES only the look!
But a FREE STANDING Range cost a lot less!
Go with a Whirlpool freestanding range top of the line will be under 1000. dollars
    I sell it fro $899.
Frigidaire speed bake free standing gas GLGF376D
Frigidaire speed bake free standing gas with full grate GLGF386DS

in the drop in, Frigidaire I believe today only shows electric drop ins!

Whirlpool has the best track record!
If your not in a hurry.
I'm going to a Appliance show Monday morning and can tell you what's new Monday night!
Leave me you # today Sunday If you like!

I just checked and drop ins are only Electric now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oven won't heat.

Good Afternoon Gwen - Try reprogramming the range by unplugging it or flipping the household circuit breaker off. Wait approximately ten minutes and turn the unit back on. If issue persists, then the unit could possibly be experiencing an issue with a wiring failure, EOC (electronic oven control), sensor probe and/or faulty bake or broil element. I would strongly recommend consulting a professional to narrow down the precise issue before investing in parts that may or may not be the root cause.

Lost manual for Frigidaire gallery gas oven. need to know how to use convection baking

What model Frigidaire oven do you have? Most Frigidaire manuals are available from the manufacturer's site: http://b2b.frigidaire.com/support/manuals.asp or http://www.frigidaire.com/Owner-Center/Product-Support-Manuals/ . Note: these manuals are in the PDF format; you will need Adobe Reader or a similar program to read them.

For example the User's manual for the FGGF3054MW range (with convection oven) is available at http://manuals.frigidaire.com/prodinfo_pdf/Springfield/316901218en.pdf .

I hope this helps.

When using the convection roast, does setting it to 325 show on the display as 300? I am cooking my turkey at 325 and display reads 300.

Your range has the feature called auto recipe conversion, that means it will automatically adjust your settings to compensate for the changes when useing either convection modes, bake or roast, rest assured you turkey will turn out perfect with convection roast. Remember that raosting time will be slightly reduced also with convection roast bakeing. Have a wonderfull Thanksgiving and Holiday season. Good luck !
