We have a Brother Intellifax 2820 fax machine, and the problem from the pick up tray after two copies it gives an error "No Paper Feed" can you tell me what is the problem. I cleant the pick up rollers and transfer rollers.

Open the left cover, you will find 2 solenoids near to the front. When printing you the vertical & horizontal should be working, if not then you will have to clean the solenoids, remove the sticky material around the hole area, apply some WD40 then test it again.

Take note:
Usually in the tray paper jams are caused by the pick-up rollers being dirty so clean them using a well wrung wet clothe.
Also the clutch and soleinoid problem. Also take not of the transport system for the paper if there is anything not in its right position any thing loose they must have somewhere you shold afix them.

You need to make sure that your machine is set to "FAX" mode,not"PHONE"mode and that it is in "AUTO"receive, not "MANUAL"receive mode.

check paper tray picking gear. if it is broken replace chase

best guess is it belongs under the paper lift plate in your paper tray, remove the paper tray and all the paper, there should be a metal paper lift plate in the paper tray, these are typically spring loaded to lift the paper into place. lift the plate and check the underside for the location of the spring, there is usually a retainer of some sort to hold the spring in place. once the spring is in place the tray should feed correctly.

The readout on my intellifax 2820 says, Document Jam, clear the scanner jam, then press the stop key. I can't get it to clear. What should I do?

check inside the machine for a little black sensor flag that may be stuck.. It should be able to swing freely. There are two or three of them in various places of the paper path.

Out of the lower paper tray when you go to print? Try this, remove the cassette tray and use a water dampened cloth and clean the gray paper pickup roller off. A lot of times this has paper fiber build up that causes the paper not to feed. The printer has a certain timing pattern for when paper should reach a certain sensor, and if it doesn't, then a jam error will occur.

Are we talking about a paper feed problem from the paper cassette tray or the Auto Document feeder on the top. Either way, check the the paper width guides, or if it is the paper cassette tray, remove it and check the paper pick up roller locking clips.

Press Menu/Set, 1, 3 Press up or down arrow to select Letter, A4, A5, A6, B5, B6 or Executive Press Menu/Set Press Stop/Exit :o)
