LG DLE3733W Electric Dryer - No power at front panel

My LG dryer is a little about 18 months old now, and my wife went to use it this afternoon, and we are getting no power when you press the power button on the front. I verified that the breaker did not trip, and both legs of the 220-240 outlet are working via volt meter. The cord itself looks to be okay, as I get 120 volts at both terminals at the back of the dryer where the cord attaches. I'm assuming there are some other fuses inside the dryer, but before I start tearing it apart blindly, maybe I can get some likely possibilities.

Thanks,
Ted C.

Thanks. It does appear to be that the thermistor has lived its last. Only getting .5 ohms, when manual shows I should be getting 11.7. Now I have to go find one of these things.

    Thanks again,

    Ted C.

I received my LG DLE3777W ELECTRIC DRYER AS A GIFT. AFTER INSTALLING IT ACCORDING TO MANUFACTURER INSTRUCTIONS,
I TRIED TO TURN IT ON AND THERE IS NOTHING...NO POWER.

Hello Ted C,

Here is a link to the user manual for your dryer ...http://us.lge.com/download/product/file/1000003928/DLE3733_DLG3744owners.pdf

Here is a link for the closest match service manual I could find for you

http://136.166.4.200/contents/Laundry/DLE3777/DLE3777_Service_Manual.pdf

There is a high probability that your door switch interlock is not made and/or the thermal fuse is open. The information contained in the service manual (despite not an exact match) should be close enough to assist in troubleshooting the problem. This information should at least head you in the right direction. Hope this helps you..

Regards

http://www.mcmelectronics.com/search.asp... they sell components for LG products. I assume that since it is YOUR dryer that you took the time to measure each component and know which part number you need. You should be able to get the part you need from this supplier.. Good Luck

My lg dle3733w dryer is vibrating a lot

Your problem sounds like drum rollers have flat spots on them or in need of lubrication.
If you have a front loading machine, Unplug the dryer, remove the front of the dryer. This will expose the drum and belt, remove the drum and belt and this will expose the drum rollers.
Check your rollers for flat spots, if they have flat spots on them replace them.
If they don't then they probably only need lubrication. Lubricate the shaft of the rollers with a good grade of machine oil such as 3 in One oil. Reassemble the dryer, plug back in. This should solve your noise problem.
I will include these two websites for parts and further help:

Dryer not drying clothes

I'm guessing it is electric? Do the clothes get very hot? If not, one or both of your elements may be bad. If it does get hot inside after running for 15mins, then perhaps your exhaust piping is clogged up. Can you tell if the output blowing from your dryer is a weak or powerful flow?
Let me know.
