Hi Gas dryers use an electric ignition device rather than a pilot light to light the gas heater: An element becomes hot and glows like the filament in a lightbulb. Electric ignition systems are always sealed; you can't adjust or repair them. If an electric ignition device fails, call a professional service person for replacement.

Zanussi condenser dryers

It can be mechanical or electrical malfunction. I would check tank microswitch, float and lever.
Below is explained how the condensate drainage system works and that will facilitate fault detection.

The warm and cold air circuits cross inside the heat exchanger, which results in a thermal exchange which condenses the humidity contained in the warm air. The condensation which forms in the heat exchanger is collected in a sump, from which it falls by gravity into a tank. When the water in the tank reaches the max. level, the level of the water in the sump increases, which causes the float to move upwards, thus actioning a microswitch; The microswitch for dryers with electronic board sends a signal to the electronic circuit when the tank has been filled, switches off the appliance and lights a pilot lamp which indicates to the user that the tank is full. The microswitch with electromechanical control switches off the dryer (the timer motor is powered and ends its cycle) and lights a pilot lamp which indicates to the user that the tank is full.

Hooked up roper dryer and it's propane everything seems to be hooked up right but won't get hot or even heat up. This is first time ever having to use propane. Any idea what it might be or could have...

1.is the pilot light lite burning.
2. if pilot light light is on ,does the blue flame of the pilot light touch and heat up the thermocouple.
the dryer will not turn on the heat if the pilot flame does not touch and heat up the thermocouple.

3 is the dryer plugged in to the electricity.
4. is the dryer actually getting electricity.
If the dryer has electricity and the pilot flame is touching the thermocouple, then try buying and installing a new thermocouple.

****have you purged the air out of the gas lines so that the dryer is actually geting pure propaine and not just air getting pushed ahead of the propaine.

how old is your dryer, if new, warranty service will trouble shoot & repair for free.

you need to tell us more so that we have some facts to work with. vagueness does not cut it.

Pilot

It probably has an electronic pilot light. It should light by itself. If you have a real old one, you have to open the cover at the bottom, and light the pilot.

How do I light the ignite pilot light

Most new dryers don't actually have pilot lights. They use an electric heater that turns red hot, and ignites the gas at the right time. If your trying to light the pilot light (which probably doesn't exist) because the gas isnt being ignited,,, its possible that the electric igniter needs to be replaced.

How to light the pilot?

If this is an electric dryer, it doesn't have a pilot either. If this is a gas dryer it will have an electric pilot. but then if it were a gas dryer, it would have a removable lower front panel for servicing the burner. So you must have an electric dryer. if the dryer runs but does not heat, the electric element is most likely at fault. If you really were looking for a pilot light on an electric dryer, I must recommend that you call a reputable appliance service regarding repairs so as to not jeopardize your safety.

Pilot

I'm assuming you have a dryer with a pilot light and not a spark lighter. If the pilot will not light, get a service tech. Gas is dangerous.

Pilot

according to the model number its an electric dryer so the is no pilot. todays GAS dryers do not have pilots anyway. there is a globar that heats up and then the gas comes on, passing over the hot globar causing the gas to ignite
