How do i turn on the blue tooth in my acer 5742 laptop?

possible cpu failure, power button will light and flash indicating that there is a problem.
battery light will be orange due to charging mode.

Use Fn+F3 key combination to access blue tooth activation. Single key sequence for wireless & blue tooth. I just found this on my D270.

If the power adapter runs the laptop, it is likely the rechargeable battery needs to be replaced. Go to www.ebay.com Type: make and model of laptop, refine search for battery.

No you shouldn't be. If you're really worried about it though you could always get yourself a laptop cooler.

You can try Fn+F3 to bring up the launch manager, by which you can turn on your wireless.

I have recently bought myself a Acer Aspire 5742
and mine does not have the bluetooth facility built into it
but i have a usb bluetooth dongle if ever i should need it
they are not very dear on ebay

This laptop is blue tooth capable, but has no internal blue tooth adapter.

You will ether have to call acer and see if their help desk can answer your questions, or purchase a USB blue tooth adapter

First you need to install the bluetooth driver software [that can be found on the acer CD that came first time with your laptop or just look here www.acer.com ] , then reboot your system . after that turn on the bluetooth buttons on your laptop and on the device you want to connect your laptop with for example [Cell phone ] . make on of them look for the other . then you need to pair them , so that you don't need to do that again .
Just look around in the software that you already installed and problem will be solved .

Turn the laptop upside down, its one of the covers that is openable with a normal + screwdriver. One of them has the memory other has hard drive and the 3rd should have the addon cards.

Id have to find a service manual to confirm this. But this is how it is in most acer laptops and I have repaired a few.
