Your TV is going into what is called the "protect mode". There are a variety of reasons it can do this. None of the reasons are anything that can be fixed without having some kind of electronics knowledge and the proper test equipment to figure out just what is causing it. You have mentioned that you do not know how to find or even check the fuses in the TV. This would indicate that you would need to have the TV serviced by a qualified service technician.

Please just follow this link and you can find a service center for your Mitsubishi TV:

http://direct.where2getit.com/cwc/apps/w2gi.php?template=search&client=mitsuservicer#?mid=174138

If you cannot click the link, just copy and paste it into your internet browsers address bar. You will save yourself money by not trying to fix the TV yourself, since you have no experience doing these type of repairs. It is very easy to cause more damage than you have started with if you are not familiar with how to troubleshoot a TV. it is also very dangerous to attempt this since TV's have some very high voltages inside of them. Do yourself a favor, get a qualified service technician to check it our for you. In the long run, you would be much happier, safer, and save yourself money.

The condition of your TV called power supply overcurrent shutdown. The TV is going into a protection mode to prevent further circuit damage. That's why it will not turn on or not powering up. I would concentrate on the power supply section board. Bad regulation of the incoming voltage could caused this issue although, there is a capacitor across the incoming line and nuetral.Maybe its leak or dry up and cause the problems, change it out with one of identical rating .I would probably also check the flyback circuit and flyback transformer although now you are getting into dangerous area, especially if you have no electronic experience background. It could be also be a loose ,crack or cold solder joint,a blown fuse, fusible links or other component .It could be one of several boards.Unfortunately the level of sophistication on these TV make it virtually impossible to diagnose them further without taking them apart and probing around with a multimeter and other tools. This TV is handy enough to take to a repair shop find a good one.You will probably have to pay $75 to $100....

Hope this may help you..

Hi Did you check the small fuses and resistors near to the convergence ICs? if they keep blowing there is a powering problem on the convergence board.

That is the internal safety switch, that detects a fault and keeps tv off.

Try first unplugging power cord for one hour.

If it does not work it means that there is an internal fault, probably a faulty component or a board in need of replacement.

If you need to call a technician you can ring the phone number listed on the owner manual.

If there is an error code post here

The only fuse that is easily accessible is the one in the power supply, and that fuse is ok, when it blows you get no power at all.

The tv components must be tested thoroughly, for that job you need a technician.

If you get an error code we can find out what the problem is.

Let us know TV make and model, and if you get the light flashing any number of times.

Hitachi 65f59 65 TV keeps shutting off

This set uses a number of green L.E.D.'s inside which are tied to different voltages---if you can watch them when set shuts off you are looking for one that goes out either quickly or after the others--points to area (voltage) where problem may be.

Other visual indications are screen changes red, green, blue right at shutdown and sound and brightness then both vanish=shutdown circuit being triggered to protect the set.

Tv shuts itself down

This is due to bad caps read here what a cap is www.badcaps.net see you tv is getting hot as normal but the caps cannot stand it any more thus shutting the tv down. The bad caps would be more or less in the power supply unit of this TV. So you can buy a new psu or get it repaired by a expert.

The tv keeps shutting down

i unplugged the tv , turned the lamp switch to off . I left it unplugged for a few hours . I then plugged the tv back in , hit the reset button , located on the front bottom left . I waited for the timer light to stop blinking , then turned the lamp switch to the on position . I turned the power on to the tv . i heard the fan kick on , this time there was not a dragging sound . the screen lit up and i have not had a problem since yesterday . i think that the problem started because the tv had been left on for too long , I know that what i have done is only a temperary fix . but as long as I dont forget to turn the tv off , i should not have a problem
