Look at the inside, if the bulb looks good, something else is wrong with the set.

How to replace the lamp for Panasonic projector

If you bought a lamp from eBay then its most likely not a real brand bulb. The PT-AE1000 uses an ET-LAE1000 lamp that should have an Osram, Philips or Matsushita brand bulb. If you do not see PVIP, M or UHP on the bulb then its most likely your problem. Cheap lamps are not worth the money. They fail early and end up costing you more money in the long run. These folks sell lamps that always work. I would return the eBay lamp and buy one that will work. Their support and customer service are one of the best in the industry.

I would refer to this page to determine if you ahve an internal problem or if your lamp is bad. Make sure you buy a lamp that has an original bulb inside and not a compatible. Original bulbs cost less than OEM but more than OEM-Compatible(knock off) but they last as long as OEM bulbs. Your SMART Hub Doesnt Turn your UX60 Projector On or Off 146535 SMART...

Hello, I recently replaced my bulb in my projector. It was working fine and it turned off all of a sudden. When I power it back on the lamp tries to light up but it can not turn over and then it tries

Possible that the quality of the bulb is questionable. So please make sure that you buy one from the authorized dealer or one which is given a warranty for working hours /time.

How do I change the lamp? Lamp came with no directions. This is a HD72.

Hello there,If your movie projector light bulb has stopped working, there are some simple steps to take to get your movies playing again. The hardest part may be finding the correct replacement bulb. There are so many different models with their own specific bulb. Here are some steps to follow to replace your burned out light bulb.
  • Locate the bulb in the movie projector. You may need to use a screwdriver to open the bulb compartment. Check your owner's manual for proper procedures.
  • Step 2.Remove the movie projector light bulb or lamp. The bulb must be cool before you take it out. Use a tissue or cloth to remove the bulb because the glass bulb is very fragile. Do not throw away your bulb yet, you may need it to help find a replacement.
  • Step 3.Find replacement bulb. The Better Lamps website offers a wide variety of light bulb models. From their homepage select the brand of movie projector you have and using the model number from your old bulb, buy a replacement.
  • Step 4Replace the movie projector lamp or light bulb. Do not touch the bulb with your skin. This can transfer oils from you onto the bulb resulting in a hot spot which can make the bulb burst. Use a tissue or cloth to handle the new bulb to screw it back into place and then replace the cover.

Lamp burn out 3 time in 16months

clean out your projector. if there is a lot of dust and/or no air flow, the lamp will overheat and die. it needs to cool. use canned air and blow out any and all dust from inside the projector. make sure the fans work. also, don't buy lamps from "bob's lamps". get it from a reputable benq dealer.

Sharp XR 10X lamp replacement issues

I sent mine in. They changed the bulb and cleaned the unit. The one thing they did suggest that seemed helpful was to upgrade the firmware. They did this as part of the service. That may be your problem, but I don't know that the firmware is upgradable. Yes indeed, they do charge an outrageous price!! I went through Sharp because they would guarantee the work, and I didn't want to buy two bulbs.

It may sound like the bulb needs replacing but first you should make sure that the outlet you plug it into has a constant 110 voltage. You may need to buy a voltage regulator to see if that works first. You can try a new outlet too. Sometimes other sources draw electricity from your wall outlet which cause the drop in voltage and poor lighting. Of coarse if that does not work, replacing the bulb would be the next logical solution. If your handy at opening it up, you could test the capacitors and connections for polarity and resistance with an ohm meter. Also check the current in the wall socket for constant voltage.

    NEC Projector VT440

I am a computer and electronics tech for a school district. I have worked on a number of different model projectors. The biggest problem that I see that can wear out a bulb VERY FAST is dust in the filters. When the filters get clogged with dust, the projector cannot move the proper amount of air to keep the lamp cool. These lamps run extremely hot and if not cooled properly can fail very fast. The first sign of a failing bulb is that the picture gets very dim. This is a good sign that the bulb needs to be replaced.

Another thing that can reduce the life of the bulb is leaving the projector on when it is not in use. If you are not using the projector for an extended period, shut it off. Leaving the projector in an A/V muted state does not shut down the bulb completely and can still wear on the lamp hours. These bulbs are rated for a certain number of lamp hours, so any time the projector is on, it is wearing away the hours of useable time. And at the cost of these bulbs, this can get expensive.

Most companies that sell bulbs sell the entire bulb assembly which is the bulb in an easily removeable housing that is usually made of a heat resistant plastic. One place that I use for replacement lamps is a site called my projector lamps http://www.myprojectorlamps.com. This site will sell you the entire bulb assembly for a reasonable price. If you feel confident enough and have a bit of mechanical ability, you can usually get the bulb alone at a cheaper price and replace the one in your existing housing. Bulbs for some of these can be a bit tricky to replace in the plastic housing, so check out your assembly before going and ordering just the bulb. You may want to even try getting the bulb out of the housing first to make sure you can do it. That way if you damage the housing in any way you can then order the complete assembly.
