Just one thing. You DO have a raster. If you have only a blue screen obviously the blue gun is working, hence a raster. What I don't understand is how can you tell the focus is bad if you don't have a picture?
Many TVs switch to a plain blue screen when switched to Video in and there's a lack of input. Have you tried changing to your normal broadcast channels?
One thing's for sure it's not something that can be fixed on-line so HELLO Mr repairman :-)
I SUGEST A CHECK ON ALL THE LOW VOLTAGE SUPPLIES. THIS COULD BE ACHIEVED BY SCREENING ALL THE FUSIBLE RESISTORS THAT LINK THE LINES TRANSFORMERS. ALSO VOLTAGE REGULATORS SHOULD NOT BE LEFT OUT. LOTS OF EXPERIENCES HAVE SHOWN THAT PROBLEMS ASSOCIATED WITH NO RASTER IS AS A RESULT OF LOW VOLTAGE FAILURE. IF NOTHING IS ACHIEVED IN THE END THEN.
GUESS WORK
CHECK THE SYSTEM CONTROL IC. IF POSSIBLE SWAP WITH A CONFIRMED ONE. CHECK FOR POSSIBLE OPEN CIRCUIT ON THE PCB. DONT FORGET YOUR TUNNER AS WELL.GOOD LUCK AND ALL THE BEST.
wepu, Buddy it sounds like you got a power supply problem. As you say the picture is all blue?? With no video or sound and the fact that the channel display is out is the first indication that i would guess this. Do you still have the owners manual that you got when you first got the set? Good, cause thats the only place i can think of where to look in case of service over in your part of the world as I did try!! Man I tryed but to no avail. No one has heard of this model but that dosent mean that it dos'ent exsit!.. If your a tech or know your way around solid state circuitry then you should have no problem finding the fault once you get a service manual from the service location in your owners manual. Now if your not a tech and a handy man ?? If I were you I wouldnt mess with the tv as theres over 25000 volts inside the set and i've seen it make a grown man cry. Man dont attempt the repair or troubleshooting if you dont have the right or proper tools and equipment!!! Good Luck
