Just one thing. You DO have a raster. If you have only a blue screen obviously the blue gun is working, hence a raster. What I don't understand is how can you tell the focus is bad if you don't have a picture? Many TVs switch to a plain blue screen when switched to Video in and there's a lack of input. Have you tried changing to your normal broadcast channels? One thing's for sure it's not something that can be fixed on-line so HELLO Mr repairman :-)

I SUGEST A CHECK ON ALL THE LOW VOLTAGE SUPPLIES. THIS COULD BE ACHIEVED BY SCREENING ALL THE FUSIBLE RESISTORS THAT LINK THE LINES TRANSFORMERS. ALSO VOLTAGE REGULATORS SHOULD NOT BE LEFT OUT. LOTS OF EXPERIENCES HAVE SHOWN THAT PROBLEMS ASSOCIATED WITH NO RASTER IS AS A RESULT OF LOW VOLTAGE FAILURE. IF NOTHING IS ACHIEVED IN THE END THEN. GUESS WORK CHECK THE SYSTEM CONTROL IC. IF POSSIBLE SWAP WITH A CONFIRMED ONE. CHECK FOR POSSIBLE OPEN CIRCUIT ON THE PCB. DONT FORGET YOUR TUNNER AS WELL.GOOD LUCK AND ALL THE BEST.

Wepu, Buddy it sounds like you got a power supply problem. As you say the picture is all blue?? With no video or sound and the fact that the channel display is out is the first indication that i would guess this. Do you still have the owners manual that you got when you first got the set? Good, cause thats the only place i can think of where to look in case of service over in your part of the world as I did try!! Man I tryed but to no avail. No one has heard of this model but that dosent mean that it dos'ent exsit!.. If your a tech or know your way around solid state circuitry then you should have no problem finding the fault once you get a service manual from the service location in your owners manual. Now if your not a tech and a handy man ?? If I were you I wouldnt mess with the tv as theres over 25000 volts inside the set and i've seen it make a grown man cry. Man dont attempt the repair or troubleshooting if you dont have the right or proper tools and equipment!!! Good Luck

When tv is powered on tv only displaying channel number and sound -no raster. using video mode displays are ok. sound is also ok

Check and replace damaged component/s at its horizontal scan output section circuit. Check the LOT (Line Output Transformer) too for damage. Replace the horizontal scan output transistor. Check the input voltage to LOT. If the voltage is absent check the feeder resistor; if any. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. My 42" flat screen phillips

I'd post TV model number first - it's on the back of the TV -and I'd also post a picture if I could.

The lines on the screen do not usually go with the "channel not available" problem and the likelyhood of you having both at the same time is , well, small.

Phillips dvdplayervideorecorder connect w/zinwell converter box

First off get the TV on the right channel. It will either be ch3 or ch4. If you are using a cable box the dvd/vcr combo will have to be on ch3 or ch4 as well. OK, Make sure the input connector on the combo is hooked to the output connector of the cable box and the output connector of the combo is hooked to the input connector of the tv. Deal with one part at a time. First hook the combo to the tv and get the tv on the right channel (ch3 or ch4) so that you can see a pre-recorded dvd or video play. Then you will know what channel the tv is supposed to be on. When you find it don't bother the tv channel any more. Stop the dvd or video and hook up the cable box and turn on the cable box and set the box to a known good channel. Now put the combo on ch3 or ch4 with the combo's channel selector buttons until you see the cable box playing on the tv (remember you already set up the tv channel). Change channels on the box but don't bother the channels on the tv or combo anymore. You can put the box on whatever channel you want. The box will be your channel selector. I certainly hope that this helps. I know it can be confusing but don't give up. Just remember that the tv and combo have to always be on ch3 or ch4 (which ever one you found before). Good luck and thanks.

Sharp 32'' tv -no raster showing channel numbers only

since you have sound and display it's not the hivoltage. You're electron guns are not being turned on. Most likely the IC which biases the guns or the IC which contains the biasing resistors.

Phillips/Magnavox 9P5544C102 white raster and shuts down

This denotes a problem called blooming the horizontal lines you see are called retrace lines this is caused by the increase in anode voltage which could be caused by an increase in HV section current which trips the overcurrent protection dircuit and turns the TV off.If you do not have electronics experience I would suggest taking the set to a TV repair shop.

No raster, No sound

Your problem discription is not very detailed but certainly it sounds like the first place to look would be at the fuses if the set is completely dead. Good luck.
