Question about Pioneer Televison & Video

1 Answer

I have a pioneer elite plasma (Pro-1540HD),and my color settings are completely screwed up.(my kids and father-in-law were messing around with my remote.). I've gone through the manual and done everyhting suggested in there with no success. I've been on hold with Pioneer Support for hours, and now I am completely frustrated. I have lots of blue/yellows, but very little greens and no reds. I've tried to adjust these based on the controls from the on screen menu and nothing helps. How can I get my TV back to normal? I've even reset everything to the factory settings and tried it again, with no luck.. Thanks, Grant 720-234-3119 Gnesbitt@homebroker.net

Start with page 51 in the manual, disconnect all external sources(vcr, dvr, cable box, etc.) start the tv with just the cable from the wall jack straight to the tv. make adjustments as needed.when you have a satisfactory picture, reconnect the external sources one at a time and see if the picture changes after the addition of each component, if it does, the problem is probably that component. good luck.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Does this TV overheat and fail if installed in a cabinet with no cooling system? Can the boards burn out?

ANY TV WILL FAIL IF PROPER COOLING IS NOT PRESENT. A GOOD RULE OF THUMB IS AT LEAST 2 INCHES OF CLEARANCE AROUND THE ENTIRE SET. ANYTHING LESS, I WOULD RECOMMEND ADDITIONAL COOLING SOLUTIONS.

My 50 inch plasma pioneer elite has a green color. I dont know how my son changed the color scheme on the tv but i cannot turn it back.

Check in your menu under video and see if there are 3 gamma settings for the Red, Blue and Green. Some plasma's have that feature, why, I don't know, they only cause issues with the consumer. They are listed in the service mode but if I were you I wouldn't go there and besides it's a million to one that your son happened to hit that lottery.
