When i insert any sim card in my nokia 5230 it doesn't power on & when i remove sim from it, it works fine in offline mode & also having charging problem when i connect charger to mobile it shows "charging" after that it shows "not charging" & stop charging what can i do ???????

When the phone is in offline mode, press the power button and you will get the options in list view. Choose the option General and the phone will become online.

have you tried using different Sim cards? check if the network status is made offline,if yes change it.if you have a Sim card inserted and when you change the profile to general it shows that 'please insert a Sim card' ,think that your sim needs to be changed.try using another Sim card and post the result here.

Offline mode means that your phone aint getting any signal from your mobile service provider's BTS. You need to check it from your mobile service provider if there's an ongoing outage, you need to check as well if the sim card is properly inserted. Try powercycling your phone.
1. Turn off your device.
2. Remove the sim, memory card and battery.
3. Wait for at least 2minutes.
4. Plug back the SIM card, memory card and battery.
5. Turn on mobile phone.
6. Check if you are still getting offline mode.
7. If so, try to insert your SIM card to a different phone.
8. If using a different phone for your SIM displays offline mode still,then its your SIM card which is faulty. If it works fine make sure that you inserted the sim properly or the SIM card slot might be faulty.

This problem occur when the phone gets dropped on a high place, water damage or setting on your mobile is changed.

Please follow this basic solution :

1. with the sim inserted on your phone, go to profile and select GENERAL. might you accidentally set your profile to offline mode.

2. check the simcard socket if its clean or well align,might corrosion is the problem that's why the sim fails to recognized.

3. Also clean the simcard itself using an pencil eraser.

4. align the battery terminal,might the power supply is not sufficient if the ground (middle terminal) doesn't reach the battery interface. as well as clean the battery connector.

If the above method doesn't work,consult a mobile service center for assistance,maybe the sim IC or some components related to insert sim problem maybe damage.

I think you are using the handset without sim if it is so try inserting a SIM Card and while trying to switch on phone it will opt you whether u want to continue with offline mode or not.......simply click on no and your handset will be out of offline mode

But if you have inserted the sim card and its still showing offline try going to profiles and select General mode from there....if it is changed then its superb and if not then visit your nearest service center to get the software updated for your device

Your phone is not openline, meaning its locked for one network only. You must go to phone technician to unlock your phone, and convert to openline, in that way you can use any simcard for your phone. thanks
