Trips breaker once in awhile. Not consistent. Replaced elements, contactors, wash motor. Still trips once in awhile.

check for a bad connection, if there is a bad connection it could draw more amperage then it should.

Viking dishwasher VUD040 keeps tripping the circuit breaker during drying cycle

Are you sure the breaker is big enough to carry the Amps needed to start the drying cycle. You know that due to inductance it takes almost twice as many amps to start a motor as it does to run it.Find out how many Watts it uses and divide it by 120VAC and it will give the maximum amps it will draw. See if the breaker is high enough amp for it. A 25 Amp breaker should be efficient. I hope this helps you and if I can help you in anyway in the future let me know.

My dishwasher keeps throwing the breaker that runs it, we have changed out breakers and it still does it , and now it does not run anymore at all

first I would check the amount of power or the voltage coming out of the plug and then need to know what size is the breaker and then need to pull out the dish washer and check the connection

I have a bosch dishwasher model # I believe is SHX4AP05UC it keeps tripping my braker in the middle of washing wont complete a cycle any suggestions?

Adam, in order to help you, you must provide me with more info. What size breaker is tripping. What does the maufactor's manual reads about what size circuit it must be plugged into. If your house is a little old you probably have a 10 amp breaker that is tripping. If so than the manufaturer states theat it is recomamded to place it onto a 20 amp breaker. Only switch out the 10 map breaker to a 20 amp breaker if your the wire from the breaker is a 12 gauge wire.
Do not put a 20 amp breaker onto a 14 guage wire because it will most likely melt the insulation due to heat whichwill expose the bare copper wire which could lead to burning your house down.

What would make the dishwasher trip the breaker at different cycles

It could be a few different things. If the breaker is rated close to the amp draw of the unit (e.g. 10 amp breaker and the washer is pulling 9.5 A) , or if there are multiple devices that particular breaker services that is causing a higher amp draw.
Slim chance the motor in the washer could have a bad start capacitor, causing it to draw more amperage when the pump or motor comes on.
Please let me know if this helped.

Verifying breaker rating of AM-14

Commercial dishwashers don't take it for granted that the hot water is hot enough to sanitize. And, they know restaurants need to turn dishes.

So there is enough heat to make sure warm water heats up quickly to sanitizing temperatures.

What wire size is needed to run power line to an 18" frigidaire dish washer

The first thing you'll need to find out is how much current the dishawasher uses.. for example .. if it is less than 15amp ( which most are) then 14 awg wire is appropriate.. If it is more than 15 amps and less than 20, 12 awg wire is required.. You need to make sure that the circuit breaker feeding this appliance is sized correctly for this.. In some states.. dishwashers and garbage disposals are wired similarly to a refridgerator where you install a receptacle in a box and get a plug set for that appliance and simply plug it into that receptacle.. Feel free to respond to this with any questions or if I confused you.. I'll get you thru it.

Hope this helps..

I wired a ge dishwasher ..white to white and black to black. the wire a screwd to the dishwasher.. turn it on and everything worked ok til the pump came on and the the black to black...

Well, hard to say at this point. Your wiring sounds correct, but there may be some other stuff going on which you may have not anticipated. First off, what size breker is attached to the wires you connected to the machine. Most household machine require a 20 amp breaker. If you had fire, my first concern is the breaker in this circuit is either too large, or not functioning correctly.
Secondly, because the problem occured when the wash motor engaged suggests a problem with that circuit.
You don't say much about the machine itself, so I am wondering if there may have been some water in the motor or maybe some wire are shorted to ground on that circuit.
Look for burn marks around the motor and it's wiring and repair all you find.
Hope this helps,
