Question about GE Energy Star WCVH6260F Front Load Washer
Started to wash a load of clothes the washer paused as usual but the start/pause button is now flashing and the washer has stopped. Can not get it to continue the wash cycle and of course the door is locked.
I had the same problem.....The start/pause button would flash during a cycle and the washer would not finish the cycle. After reading on this forum that there is a filter/strainer inline with the drain, I tried this solution.
Remove the (3) screws that hold the lower front panel (Just below the door)
Once the panel is removed, you should see a white plastic strainer hooked to the washer drain.
Please a large bowl under the opening and unscrew the knob/handle, pull the filter/strainer out and clean all of the lint/trash out of this area.
My filter/strainer was clogged with a baby sock, 2 doilies, a fewe pennies, 2 dimes and lot's of lint.
I believe all of this debris was causing musty odors in the machine as the lint would stink due to dampness.
Once I cleared out this filter/strainer the problem and my odors went away
I wish GE would add this "EASY" step into the owners manual for proper care and maintenace.
Thank you for letting me know about this filter/strainer as it did resolve my problem

I had the same problem... pausing mid-cycle, sit and hum but not spin (I am assuming it was waiting for the water to drain). Cleaned my trap, and found no end of my children's "treasures".
This seems to have solved the problem, I hope this and bleach eventually helps with the mildew problem too.

I have the same problem. I found an string(slip) in the filter. The filter is back to the front pannel under the door. Open the plug and chek the filter.

Tips for a great answer:
Step 1: Unplug the washing machine.
Step 2: While the washer remains unplugged, press and hold the [Start/Pause] button on the front panel for 5 seconds.
Step 3: Plug the unit back in, and run a rinse and spin cycle to test if the LE code is cleared.
