Keyboard typing automatically

This can be a few things.
1. Stuck keys, some keyboard can get dust, food, hair in them which cause the keys to stick. If you have a vacuum cleaner you can gently vacuum the keyboard to remove some of these obstructions.

2. bad keyboard, if after cleaning the keyboard the problem continues you may have a bad keyboard and it may need replaced.
If it is a desktop you can pick them up pretty cheap at almost any store that sells computer parts. If it is a laptop the keyboard can be replaced as well, but may need to be done by a computer repair shop or other professional.

3. virus, back in the 80s-90s viruses that allowed another person to take control over your computer where very common. Now days these types of viruses still exist but are not as common. You may need to update and run an anti-virus program or have your computer looked at by a computer repair shop. However, I would not do this until the first two solutions have been tried.

Further help can be provided if you let us know if full sentences are being typed, or just random letters.

Typing and keyboard issues

If you're using a laptop, it sounds like the trackpad is too sensitive, so that as you type, when your thumbs touch the pad, the cursor moves.  You can adjust this easily in settings/preferences.

My PC have a problem, Every times I turn it on , it always apearing message . that is .. window need to Install SM-bus controller

Try this.

Restart your computer in safe mode. To start in "Safe Mode", power on your computer and immediately after the BIOS loads, begin tapping the F8 key on your keyboard. Do so until the Windows Advanced Options menu appears. If you begin tapping the F8 key too soon, you may get a "keyboard error" message. If this happens, restart the computer and try again waiting a few seconds longer to begin tapping the F8 key. When you get the Advanced Options Menu, use the arrow keys on the keyboard, select Safe mode and then press Enter.

After Windows loads in safe mode your screen will be different and it will say "safe mode" in each corner.

Put your original eMachines Recovery CD in the drive.

Click "start" and then open the "control panel".

Double click the "system" icon (looks like a little computer and is usually near the bottom) and then select the "hardware" tab at the top. Click on the button that says "Device Manager", scroll down if necessary until you find "system devices". Click on the "plus" sign to expand the list and look for a yellow exclamation point. Right click that entry and select "update driver" from the dropdown list.

When the Hardware Update Wizard loads, highlight the selection that reads "Install from a list or specific location (Advanced)" and click Next. The next page should default to "Search for the best driver in these locations" and a check mark should be in the box that says "Search removable media (floppy, CD-ROM....)". Make sure these are checked and click Next. Windows should then find the appropriate driver. Doubleclick the driver name and then click Finish.

Now shutdown and restart your computer normally. If this does not work, your computer most likely has faulty hardware and you will need to take it back to your dealer for repair or replacement.

hi there
it sounds like your keyboard is set to a foreign language. if you look at the blue bar at the bottom of your screen on the right you will see a < symbol next to which (to the left) should be 2 letters, this should be EN if not double click the 2 letters then select english u.k. and then delete any other languages. restart your pc.
hope this helps

My keybord does not always register the key stroke as i type i have changed the keyboard and it still has the same problem

I would first suspect a hardware issue (assuming you are not on an office VPN from your home which can drop keystrokes). If this is a PS2 (round plug) keyboard, try a USB keyboard and see what happens. If this is a USB keyboard and you have a PS2 port, try a PS2 keyboard. If you are using any type of keyboard adapter (PS2 -> USB or vice versa) get rid of it and get the correct keyboard. Newegg.com sells basic ones for about $10.

If none of those techniques eliminate the problem, check out your keyboard profile in device manager (right click on my computer, select properties, select the hardware tab and then select device manager. Find the section that says keyboard and see if you have an exclamation point (yellow circle) there. See if you have any other exclamation points. Correct the problem.

Finally, the least likely scenario is a key stroke logger (keylogger). Download the free programs spybot and/or threatfire and have them check your PC.
