Question about Whirlpool Dryers
My name is Jennifer and my dryer shuts off about halfway thru the cycle--it seems to heat just fine and the lint was cleaned/removed from the internal exhaust line (the top where the lint screen inserts all the way down to the exhaust port at the bottom) and from all areas around the motor and the inside of the dryer shell. So, I'm not exactly sure how dryers work in terms of what's connected to what and I don't have a schematic for this unit. Is there a termostat that controls the element temp. that has gone bad allowing the elements to overheat and trip a resettable breaker? Thanks for any help you can give.
ON THE BLOWER BOX THERE IS A BLACK THERMISTER THAT GOES BAD AND THE DRYER WILL RUN A FEW MINUTE AND CUT OFF,REPLACE THAT AND YOU SHOULD BE OK,MIKE
