LTV-30w2 Backlight problem...goes black

I have this same problem described below - Does anyone have a solution for this? 2 years old..i keep reading about changing the inverter or possible surface mount fuses could be blown.. i have it opened up now.

 I have a Westinghouse LTV 30 inch TV and when we turned it on this evening there was sound but no picture.

We put another TV in the same area and it worked fine (connected to cable box, etc). We repluged the Westinghouse in the place the other TV was in and same problem....sound but no picture.

Is is worth fixing?

-   Same problem. Had service man here who told me I needed a video card. However, I can't seem to find out what video card I need. The only reference I can find is to a board graphic assy (part number 5600110390) sold for $203, but I'm not sure this is the part I need to correct video card problem.

Any suggestions, can't seem to find a diagram or parts list.

-   The back light comes on when the set is first turned on then off. I don't think it is the back light on mine but computer shutting the video off.-   tgoodpaster

turn light in room off, take a strong flashlight and shine at an angle and see if you can see picture.If you see picture then it is inverter problem.part number 4900506280,I think.
