The screen is just blank

-   I dropped my DS lite and when I opened it the screens were blank but the green light was on. a couple of times I got most of the welcome screen by tapping it on the side with my hand, but that was it - no functionality. Yes I have turned it on and off, removed the game, removed the battery etc. Is it something to do with the thing that temporarily switches it off when you close the console? I am stumped.-   SeanOOO

-   My son lost a game and hit the DS with his open palm.

Both screens went blank but the green power light was on. There was no sound.

He closed it, turned it off, and reopened/restarted it. Still nothing.

He hit it again with an open palm, the old remedy, hair of the dog, etc., but nothing happened.

I just went through some basic diagnositcs, turn off on, remove/reinsert a game cartridge, open the rechargable battery panel and clean battery and etc. Nothing works. Still two blank screens and no sound or activity sounds.
