Hi, I have just attempted to do the firmware update on my N95, about half way through, the Nokia pc suite said that the phone was no longer connected, I left it for a while and the updater said to remove the battery from the phone, replace and turn back on in order to attempt recovery. Now the phone constantly displays "Nokia" across a blank screen while powered off, and won't power up at all. Even if I take the battery out, the Nokia logo stays on the screen for about 20 seconds and re-appears as soon as I replace the battery and attempt to switch on.
If anybody has any ideas how to reset the phone or restore the firmware, I would be eternally grateful, as I also need the phone for work.
Try to push and hold together buttons * ,3 and green handset then press power ( still holding buttons) . If it's not work you must do a manual software upgrade in service centre or someone who have special hardware for that. if you need that you can contact me at email@example.com
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

Its very hard to diagnose without inspecting the phone. But one thing is water damage. If sure that it is not water then it might be a virus or file corruption.
Also try to connect it to your pc and run "Nokia PC suite" with "Nokia software Updater". Can you perform a reinstall of your firmware??
Try formatting your phone. Turn it off. Then hold the following keys
WHILE it's turning back on: (3 + * + green call key). Don't let go till
it asks you about your location. Be aware that it will delete
everything saved in your phone memory. Let me know how it goes. :)
