Question about Kitchen Appliances - Others
Craftsman 1/2 HP garage door opener model# 139.5398511. My car was stolen with one of the remotes inside. I want to reset the code to make the remote useless. When I follow the instructions on the garage unit to relearn, does this change the code so that the missing one will no longer work?
Unplug the power of your door opener for a few minutes and plug it back in. Try the remote control that you have and see if it opens the door. If it doesn't open the door, reprogram [learn] the remote control you have and that is it. The other remote will be useless ... and you just proved it to yourself!

Look at the garage opener and read the instructions on there. Press and hold the green button for 6 seconds and release after the led turns off. Now it has been reset for all transmitted codes. This will not change or override your keypad opener outside the door.
