Question about Hitachi 42HDS69 42 in. Plasma Television
My 42HDS69 42 in. Hitachi plasma has several thin blue vertical lines running down the middle of the screen. The lines appear after the tv has been on for awhile and disappear and reappear as I continue to view. Any idea how and if I can fix this?
Please advice step by step, will be very helpful..
I think that you have dry solder joints on either the vertical scan board, the focus board, the line output stage, or the chroma panel. Hope this helps.

If the set is still in warranty, call for warranty service. If not and you feel comfortable working on the set, carefully open up the back and reseat all of hte cables and connectors. This can be caused by marginal connections inside the set.
Keep us posted on your progress and results.
