Question about Samsung BD-P1400 Blu-Ray Player
Frequently in the middle of playing a Blu-Ray the machine will turn its self
off. It has also done this on a no-Blu-Ray,but mainly it's a Blu-Ray problem.
It's as if the machine freezes.
Go to http://www.samsung.com/us/support/download/supportDown.do?group=&type=&subtype=&model_nm=BD-P1400&language=&cate_type=all&dType=D&mType=FM&vType=&prd_ia_cd=03020100&disp_nm=BD-P1400&model_cd=&menu=download
you have to burn it to a CDROM as an image file, if you just drop it on a CDROM as is, it won't work. Insert it in the player and follow the menu to update the firmware. Takes 30 minutes in 2 steps of 15 minutes each.
I have to say though, after spending a year trying to get a 1400 to work, and multiple firmware upgrades on same, I gave up and bought a Panasonic BD35 which has been flawless on every movie.
