Have you checked the fuse on the circuit board first, and then the transformer before shelling out big money? JUST like the underarm deoderant, "BE SURE""!

This is a propane furnace that continues to run even after being shut off and plenum cools. No chimmey just pvc pipe to exhaust outside. Does that help.

The fact that the plenum cools down suggests that the thermostat is satisfying its setpoint and correctly turning off the gas flow....but....if the blower is continuing to run after the plenum cools down, it indicates the blower relay on the control board is stuck in the closed position (if it is a newer style furnace) OR the "fan' portion of the 'fan-limit' control is stuck closed if it is an older furnace.

If it is a newer one with a circuit board, the board cannot be field serviced...it must be replaced. Some furnace nmanufacturers have a secondary board that controls the fan alone and is cheaper than the furnaces with the single 'control board' that performs all functions of the heating/blower sequence.

Unless you have a fair amount of understanding of electricity, you should at this point call a service company for service.

How do I get combustion air from outside of the house to my Amana propane furnace?

the furnace should have never been installed without combustion air in the first place, is it in the attic, basement, closet? The amount of combustion air depends on the btu's. you can run ,metal ducting to the space. propane is a heavy gas and needs to be installed carefully so gas cannot puddle and fill up a specific application if not installed properly.

Have a carrier 92 furnace. electric motor will not kick on...just hums. red light on circuit board flashes...help?

see this causes and fix it. God bless you
If the furnace won't run, check the electrical service panel for a blown fuse or tripped breaker. Also make sure the power switch on or near the furnace is turned on. Check the unit for a reset button and try it. Some units have a built-in breaker or fuse panel.
However you can have a missing 1 phase , test with the VOM, for to measure voltage. Or motor need repair for winding trouble, bearing. If you do not have enough experience call some electrician.
God bless you

How do u wire athermostat to the furnance and ac unit on model e3eb-015h nordyne

You need to get low voltage wire known as 5 wire. run wires thru wall to stat and furnace Red wire goes to R terminal white to W terminal Green to G terminal Yellow to Y terminal on both the stat and furnace circuit board. Now you need a wire called 2 wire low voltage wire run that from furnace circuit board to outside A/C. At furnace hook red wire to Y terminal and white to C terminal doesnt matter which ones you hook up at outside unit. Do it just like i told you this will work properly.
If this helps please rate me.

Out thermosat for our furnace and air conditioners will not work. There is no poweer going tot he thermostat at all.

Hi, if you have no power to the stat, go to the furnace if this is a split system. Depending on the year you have, this unit may have the main circuit board with a 3 to 5 amp control fuse plugged into it. If this is what you have, check this fuse, it is the same as the fuses in your car. If you don't have this circuit board, locate the transformer where your thermostat wires come in and check for power at both the 120 volt primary side ( power in ) and see if you have 24 volts coming out of the secondary side of it. If no power in, check the circuit breaker to the furnace. If there is power in and nothing out, the transformer is gone. Check close for any breaks in the stat wires at the furnace also. I may need to have the model and serial numbers, and if its a split gas fired or a heat-pump unit if this information does not apply to your unit. Let me know.

Maybe 4-7 years old I have installed more than three hundred furnaces in my time of electrical construction/heating.When furnace has no call for heat, and the thermostat wires are taken off circuit board...

Hi,
You need to check the limit switches with a meter...
What you are getting there is a classic lock out condition from an open limit switch....there could be two or three limit switches depending on make and model that you have there...
Something is open in the safety circuit...

Dometic/Duotherm propane furnace won't fire up

If this unit has a spark ignition you may just need to clean the flame sensor. It is a metal rod protruding in the path of the flame.

What part do we replace first?

Door safety switch. You are sure you have power to furnace? jump out the G and R terminals on the furnace control board or turn your thermostat to Fan On to check. Make sure the door safety switch is in the closed position. Fan should come on. No fan, no power to unit. Check Emergency switch, circuit breaker and there may be a fuseable link in the wiring somewhere either above the unit or a condensate safety switch. Get power to the unit. Also check to see if there is a small fuse in the wiring inside the furnace or on the circuit board.
