Re: my tv is having problems
Jessi your problem sounds like could be a vertical sweep fault or crt drive voltage fault or maybe even a cold solder connection on the filment connections on the flyback transformer or on the crt pc board. I hope Im not talking over your head but if I am Im sorry. It time then if you feel the set is worth it to consult a repair shop for an estiumate as there are really no user serviceable parts inside youe set. Good Luck
Ps Is that really your pictuer?? lol

Tv has no picture or sound; will go out while watching. The picture will go into a line and sound and picture will go out; shortly after that tv will turn off. Did this last nite and I did not turn back on until this morning, it worked no problem. On for couple of hours and now it's out again. What could be problem and how do I fix myself
in this situation autoshutt off in few seconds no sounds and pictures. you have to check the secondary power supply. check all capacitors. budged capacitors can make shutt off sytem. capacitors blown on top due to hot pressure inside tv.
This is a typical condition if the power supply has failed or a power-consuming circuit the supply services has exceeded a predetermined current draw. The relay you hear is preventing further damage or even fire. You will need local tech help with this.
Did you change any of the 6.8 ohm 1watt resistors with the ICs? That chassis always blows at least two of the 6.8 ohm resistors often four of the 6.8 ohm. And you cant always tell by looking at the resistors , they have to have one side unsoderd and lifted from circuit. There are 11 of them 3149 - 3160 are the 6.8 ohm resistors that need to be checked.
