How can I get the monitor blue screen control panel to turn off

You can spray the switches with WD40 and depress them many times. If that doesn't work then you have to replace all the switches if you can handle a soldering iron.

F engine menu keeps popping up on screen, all by itself

This monitor has a manufacturer's defect in two of the wiring harnesses: the harness going from the controller board to the power button (4 grey, 1 blue wire) and from the power button to the side controls (3 grey, 1 blue wire). The insulation was not stripped properly from the blue wires on any of the 4 connectors. You will have to open the monitor (snaps apart, no screws) and replace the 4 blue wires. You can solder jumpers to the pins or replace the entire harnesses.

My Hewitt Packard flat screen monitor keeps shutting off, it will come back on then shut off again. The green light stays on.

my HP w1907 flat screen keeps shutting off after playing a game, but does it frequently when changing browsers also. The blue lite stays on, if I click and return it back on blue the monitor opens for one second.
Also I can't return the screen resolution back to its original setting, which is 1440x900 because any browser home page has a 4"white space on both sides of the monitor. I can't hit my auto selectbutton because that causes the problem. I spent $60.00 for tech support but no help on fixing the problem. One tech directed to buy hardware helper, that was about$30.00! I just keeps directing me to my original chipset setting which I told the tech that's where my problem started! My daily important update keeps popping up with it,so where's the HP support when you paid for it? Problem still not resolved. Joe...aka jljoekool@charter.net,,I bought the HP monitor and tower together,so it's a HP PROBLEM

well that could be because the screen is going bad. you might want to get another one or take it in to get it fixed, no more than 100 to fix your screen.

You might wanna reset your monitor's settings to default, just play with your monitor's options untill you find the reset to default option. If resetting the monitor's settings doesnt work, then try resetting your video card's settings. right click the desktop and open your video card's control panel, then look for the reset to default options, especially on the color settings, wherever they are (control panels for graphic cards vary by vendor ie ATI/Nvidia, and/or by the control panel's version)

Still having trouble with EMachines T3882

I feel your pain. I finally moved my pc to a room with no windows! But seriously, try a different monitor first. See if you can borrow someone's to just try it before you do anything else. If that borrowed monitor works fine, then you know what the problem is. (Which I believe is the problem.) By the way, what started all of your problems?
