Question about Samsung TXK2567 TV
I own a samsung 1995 txc2515 D color television which has always worked fine the other day I turned it on the picture went black and I heard a high piercing noise. I thought I smelled something burning so I unplugged it, now when I turn it on it just makes that high piercing noise is there a way to reset it? The fuse is fine any help would be great thank you, Mark
Sorry mark that high pitched noise is an indication that the switching power supply has an overload on the outputs. It could be a shorted Horizontal output transformer or transistor or a combo of both. Also could be a shorted vertical driver or output device or could also be a simple cap opened up and is causing a really large current flow BUT if your not a tech i advise you not to tamper with or open the set as you will not "see' a problem or "look" at the open set and find anything wrong! these sets are not user serviceable and can cause you great harm.. So please if the set is this old its probably not worth investing any cash into the repair unless of course it has personal meaning to ya. its up to you to decide Good Luck
