I have lost the use of my keyboard & now find it impossible to reboot or run the recovery disc. i have downloaded a new recovery disc onto my other pc but it has an iso file, therefore my acer cannot read it & again because i cannot use keyboard i cannot run recovery disc.... Now i'm going stir crazy.....
Please HELP.

Pull the battery out. I can't tell you why, but it worked for me. You'll just have to deal with plugging it in.

Hi
The Solution is simple. Use an external keyboard. And if the problem persists after running the recovery disc, get your laptop to the Service Personnel as your keboard need change.

Hi, thanks for the reply but i have tried using an external wireless keyboard & it does not work....
Maybe time to take it to the laptop Dr?

my laptop is an ACER ASPIRE 1640 and has same problem, i never burn the recovery CD, and now i re-inatll windows many times and i can not used keyboard nor tuochpad mouse, can you please help to find a solution for this.

I have exactly the same problem, no keyboard or touchpad working.
I have put a usb mouse in which works, ran driver doctor which is telling me that I have 17 drivers out of date. Then asks for payment.
Can anyone help?
