Re: What is the frequency for UFR650?

These are FRS radios, and use only the 14 FRS channels within the GMRS band. they will not operate on the other GMRS channels in the GMRS band. FRS Channel Frequency Assignments: Channel 1: 462.5625mhz Channel 2: 462.5875mhz Channel 3: 462.6125mhz Channel 4: 462.6375mhz Channel 5: 462.6625mhz Channel 6: 462.6875mhz Channel 7: 462.7125mhz Channel 8: 467.5625mhz Channel 9: 467.5875mhz Channel 10: 467.6125mhz Channel 11: 467.6375mhz Channel 12: 467.6625mhz Channel 13: 467.6875mhz Channel 14: 467.7125mhz

Can't get motorola talkabout em1000 series kem-pk14190-67 to work

If you have a pair of them, just set them both to the same "channel" and "Code". If you have two different models, even if they're both Motorola, they may not use the same index numbers for the same settings.

Need the the manual for the mc220r

Yes you can get a copy of the user manual for these little critters, I'll give you details below, but a warning for potential users in Australia.

These units utilise the frequency range 462MHz-646MHz, which is the licence free part of the spectrum in USA, not Australia.

ACMA, the body responsible for spectrum licensing in AUS, doesn't have any spectrum allocation for FRS(Family Radio Service) / GMRS(General Mobile Radio Service), so you are not legally allowed to use these radios in AUS.

The said frequencies that these little buggers work on (462-464MHZ) is allocatted to Commercial and government licensed users in Australia and the fact that these units can pump out up to 25watts, means you are transmitting on a frequency in Australia for which you are not licensed to.

Be aware that if you are caught out operating these units in Australia and/or it's territories, islands etc,. you will be fined heavily and/or imprisoned, neither of those options is worth the effort.

A 5 watt CB with 80 channels (NEW) from $125.00 on ebay, is a much better, safer and best of all, license free option.

now for your manual: join yahoo group that is specific to this radio and model, there you will be able to get lots of info and freely download a copy of the user manual, but this will be a USA group as no AUS group is established for the reasons I've stated, with warnings.

Hello,I have four walkie talkie brand new from Kenwood, UBZ LF 14, and they work in the PMR band. Now I'm living in Italy and the PMR band is not allowed for family use by the Government The family...

Your local Kenwood rep is correct for a couple of reasons:

1. The cost to modify your current radios to operate on the Italian band would be higher than the price of new radios.

2. Operating modified radios would be a violation of Italian laws.
