ok, first you must full uninstall adobe 8 & 9 because I believe either they clashed at one point or one is just not properly installed. Once they are fully removed, reinstall abode 9. It should work properly now.

Yes and it is in the book a new installation needs calibration!! The rough tuning is off by the sounds of it

I had/have Adobe Reader 8.1.1 and recently installed Adobe 9


first uninstall adobe reader 9 and then adobe reader 8. After that re-install adobe reader 9.
it may work. try

I cannot uninstall adobe 8 reader


Download revo uninstller .. Locate adobe 8 and then click om uninstall, Select advanced and remove all registry entries , Restart the computer.

u mean reader 8 and reader 9 u can uninstall it from add remove program in XP or program and features if not then download clean up utility from http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301/ and run it and remove only reader 8 and re install from adobe site

I got a Adobe Acrobat 8 Standard CD and trying to


check the CD for defects, or dust, there are commercially available kits for repairing scratched, or damaged disks, as long as the " silver " looking portion of the disk is intact.

You may be able to download the software directly from Adobe and install it using your installation code.

How to uninstall Adobe 8


Select [Start} then [CONTROL Panel] then select [add or remove programs] ..find ADOBE and select it, then choose REMOVE program.. that should remove that software correctly. Please get back to me if that fails to work for you..

Remove adobe 8.0 in the add remove programs and see if it works. If youcan download a copy of adobe 6.0 or possibe 7. those work well, people have had problems with adobe 8. Good luck.
