Sony k800i mobile phone cannot hear callers - Cell Phones

I have the same issue, and its intermittent. It has solved itself in the past but its being stubborn this time. Have turned it off over night - no joy, have taken the battery and sim out over night - no joy. I can still hear when I turn the speaker on but then calls are no longer private.

    Any ideas?

Have found a possible solution. Check this guide for disassembly: http://www.formymobile.co.uk/Dismantle/k800disassembly.htm
Once you have the front of the phone and the insides apart you will notice that the headphone is fixed in the front plastics and has two flexible contacts. These touch two metal pads on the phone insides. I found that my contacts were slightly off-centre, and this was enough to mean the headphone was not working when calls were made (speakerphone ok, as others mentioned). Once I had carefully straightened the contacts (rather delicate metal so take care), and then reassembled,my headphone was back to normal. Good luck!

SE K800i volume

Their could potentially be a problem with your Phone speaker, have you made sure you have call volume turned on/up !? when in a call, press the volume adjustment buttons on the side of the phone and a small window should pop up saying Volume. if the call volume is up but there is still a problem with your phone, i would seek professional help from either Sony ericsson or your Mobile phone Carrier

I have a sony ericsson k800i mobile and for some reason when I receive calls and make calls I cannot hear the person the other end. If I have it on speaker I can hear the person I am ringing. Could you...

you have dropped it at sometime and dislodged your speaker ( possibly broken it ) you will be able to hear your callers on loud speaker as it has separate speaker. (mainly to listen to your music) hope this helps. mike

You will have to pair the two to work together.
Switch on Bluetooth on both devices and do a search for devices with your mobile, when it detects the handset select it and save.
