    Yes Sir,

Had a Dell A960 printer installed and workin fine for what it is,for about 5 months.Ran out of ink,and replaced with the same as per manufacturers instructions.Disconnected no cables at all.Went to make a copy and came up saying printer not installed.Made a copy without useing the lap top and worked just fine.So then i went to the correct driver in my system and attempted to launch it,then it came up on screen after i tried to print and the canceled that job because it would not print that the printer is running and would cancel after it was done. After waiting about a hour got mad and pulled the plug for power out the wall,as i could not shut down any other way. There is a battery on board but does not work, hold a charge or charges at all not sure why .Has not worked in a year or so ,dont think this whats wrong but then agian if i knew anything we would not be haveing this conversation.Just a note i am a full blown Dexlicsic so it does take me a little longer then most so im not saying i didnt do this all by myself, but i am the only one who uses this thing.

Any help cant hurt, besides someone needs a pat on the back, the other fella helping me is great and he knew when i was getting overwhelmed!

    Thanks,

this is a general error and this might be because of the operating system that is somehow corrupted. another thing is memory (RAM) of your computer is malfunctioned.
try to run memory test. if the memory looks OK then back up your files and reformat your computer

Blue screen show whit code 0X0000008E How to fix this problem. Pleass

0x0000008E and other Windows errors are often caused by registry errors.
Multiple corrupt registry enteries pile up when you delete and install programs, especially when you install new programs over old ones that were not deleted as required. Checking all the registry entries manually is possible, but it is time-taking and the risk to damage important registry entries is extremely high.

these are the possible causes viruses, faulty RAM, hardware failure, driver incompatibility.

try booting into safemode tap F8 upon pwering the system select safemode if it logs in safemode goot try doing a disc defragment or better yet back up all your data possible that you may need to reimage windows after reimaging if the issue still happens then it is possbile that your system RAM has degraded or may need replacing ..... ^_^

Dell Dimension 4600 Blue Screen

Usually this blue screen appears due a hardware issue or drivers conflict.

1) Try to boot in safe mode (hit F8 after starting up) and select "Safe mode"

If you don't get access try doing this:

2) Run the OS CD and use the option Recover Console (R)
This will fix the problem.

3) If the problem continues, you will need to install the OS again.

Computer will not start

When Windows crashes with blue screen, it writes a system event 1001 or 1003 and a minidump to the folder \windows\minidump. Check system event 1001 and 1003 and it has the content of the blue screen

Event ID: 1001
Source: Save Dump
Description:
The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck.The bugcheck was : 0xc000000a (0xe1270188, 0x00000002, 0x00000000, 0x804032100).
Microsoft Windows..... A dump was saved in: .......

Event Source: System Error
Event Category: (102)
Event ID: 1003
Description:
Error code 1000007f, parameter1 0000000d, parameter2 00000000, parameter3 00000000, parameter4 00000000

Control Panel -> Adminstrative Tools -> Event Viewer -> System -> Event 1001/1003. Copy the content and paste it back here
