    Yes Sir,

Had a Dell A960 printer installed and workin fine for what it is,for about 5 months.Ran out of ink,and replaced with the same as per manufacturers instructions.Disconnected no cables at all.Went to make a copy and came up saying printer not installed.Made a copy without useing the lap top and worked just fine.So then i went to the correct driver in my system and attempted to launch it,then it came up on screen after i tried to print and the canceled that job because it would not print that the printer is running and would cancel after it was done. After waiting about a hour got mad and pulled the plug for power out the wall,as i could not shut down any other way. There is a battery on board but does not work, hold a charge or charges at all not sure why .Has not worked in a year or so ,dont think this whats wrong but then agian if i knew anything we would not be haveing this conversation.Just a note i am a full blown Dexlicsic so it does take me a little longer then most so im not saying i didnt do this all by myself, but i am the only one who uses this thing.

Any help cant hurt, besides someone needs a pat on the back, the other fella helping me is great and he knew when i was getting overwhelmed!

    Thanks,

Remove all USB attached devices like drives. You may need to roll back system with System Restore. Under Safe Mode (press F8 during boot and choose Safe Mode). Win 7 - Start > Search type System Restore. XP - Is Start > All Programs > Accessories > System Restore. Now choose a date prior to problem. You may have to try a few dates. Uninstall last program(s) that was installed, again in safe mode. To eliminate possible bad RAM. Unplug PC, open case, and remove all RAM. Test one DIMM at time, one slot at a time. Re-install Windows. Clean install works best, but all data will be lost. Lastly you may have other hardware problems. If it does another blue screen after reloading windows, especially with a clean install.

Dell Dimension 4600 Blue Screen

Usually this blue screen appears due a hardware issue or drivers conflict.

1) Try to boot in safe mode (hit F8 after starting up) and select "Safe mode"

If you don't get access try doing this:

2) Run the OS CD and use the option Recover Console (R)
This will fix the problem.

3) If the problem continues, you will need to install the OS again.
