Re: Part Number and shop for U24 / U25 of a TomTom GO 300
U24 is TPS62000 and U25 is LTC1733EMSE . You don't say where in the world you are ? .....so I cannot advise you on where in your country to obtain those parts. They are available from MOST electronics compenent supplyers.
Its almost certain BOTH of those IC's will be blown even if one of them still looks ok.

Hi Soz but I dont have the answer for you but was wondering if you could tell me what and where I could buy the U24 because I have A tomtom 300 where the U24 has fried and I cannot see the number on top.If you can tell me my email is firstname.lastname@example.org.
Many thanks Dave
Please search for other posts regarding this from posted by "homemender" . You will have blown U24 and U25 IC's inside. Its not possible to replace these by normal soldering methods as the components are micro small .
that diode is a reverse polarity protection diode. An 1N414 will do ( available for very very little from almost ALL electronic component suppliers.) If there is NOTHING ELSE WRONG then the tomtom will still work without this diode. Its not needed in normal operation anyway. All it does is cause the fuse to blow in the cigarette lighter plug if the polarity is accidently reversed. Therefore , with a correct supply , it does nothing !
