Question about Polaroid i832 Digital Camera

1 Answer

It acts like it's turning on, but doesn't

I just got a new camera due to other digital camera complications. I loved my old one but it just stopped turning on. It has never been dropped nor had anything spilled on it.. I gave up on it and got a new one. NOW, this one just suddenly stopped too. I went to change the batteries and it turned on for a second then went black. The lense comes out, but wont go back in. Then, if I hit the play button while the lense is in (which i have to manually put in) i can veiw my pictures. But as for taking pictures, it doesn't happen. The little red light will flash and that's how far it goes. HELP ME PLEASE! i am about sick and tired of digital cameras at this point!

Hi: With your description of the problem it seams to me that your camera doesn't have enought energy to continuo working properly. The view pictures mode always takes less energy to work while the shooting mode... a lot because it has to load several things on the camera, including the access to the card. My advice is for you to try with different batteries but with a lot of mAh. The recharchable batteries have those numbers that, in a small definition, the higher the value more pictures you can take. Try to get 2 x AA batteries with at least 2100 mAh and try the turn on your camera. I think it will solve the situation. ;) Regards

I have a Samsung Digital camera was working fine. I just turned it on and their is a black smudge on the display screen. It wasn't dropped or anything just appeared out of no where. It doesn't

As you say the camera is only a month old it should be under warranty, better advised to take it to the authorized service center. By the way if the smudge is on the LCD then I feel that the LCD is damaged due to pressure or force at that particular spot.

This is the most common problem with digital cameras.
The shutter is stuck in the closed position. This is most likely due to moisture residue built up over time on the shutter leafs. You will need to have the camera serviced to have either a new lens unit or have this one stripped down and cleaned.

Memory Card.

try formatting the card, it maybe has a virus infection. better use another card and format using your camera. or you may try to remove then reinsert the card several times in your camera, this will clean the contact point inside the memory card compartment.
