Question about Hotpoint Kitchen Ranges
Depends on how handy you are with a screwdriver as to whether you want to repair yourself, although it is really basic. First turn off at the wall and remove the shelves from the bottom oven. The rear wall of the oven is held in place by 4 screws and one light cover and the heater element is behind this. Unscrew at the top, unclip from the bottom and remove the wires attached to the back. Test with a circuit tester but does sound like its no longer working. Very easy to order off the net for around £10 if you search for c362e element. Refitting is just a reversal of this. If you are not confident with electrics or if its still under warranty... get out an engineer.
