I cannot view other webcam in yahoo messenger, always not connected.

Webcam not Connected ( to your Messenger ) can usually be overcome by setting your Messenger Internet Connection

MESSENGER INTERNET CONNECTION

Open messenger - on top toolbar. Left click ( > ) Messenger > Preferences > Connection - Select 'No proxies' or 'Connect direct to the internet' depending on the version of messenger you have
make sure your internet connection and country are correct in the lower two boxes, If not change them > Apply > OK

I want the definition of a Web cam is not known

A WEB CAM can be any camera used to provide pictures to be sent over the WEB. Some WEB sites use very expensive equipment to give continous, live views from a building or other location, whereas MY WEBCAM is built into the top of my laptop computer screen, and only sees me and what's around me at 3 feet distance from the laptop, so I can be seen by my grandkid, and if they have a WEBCAM, I can see them, while we chat over the WEB. Hope that helps

Is your webcam broadcasting? Make sure the window for your cam on their end isn't minimized.

Cant view webcams in chat rooms

some times you 1st need an invite to view persons cam.

Try this method;
I discovered that I can view chat room webcams by clicking on the name and selecting Send an Instant Message first, then on the IM box select View Webcam under Actions. (It just doesn't work when I click on their name in the chat room list and select View Webcam from there--unless their webcam says Open Webcam)

Web cam

No.

Is's ok to have only one cam.

You can see the video from your oposite if they have a cam.
Or if only you have a cam the other party should be able to see you.
