Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

if it has stopped working and doesnt show on you computer then the only way to recover data is through professional data recovery help

if it still shows up on your computer but you are not able to access them then you can try to recover the data using recovery softwares, some are free some are paid, google them to find the software that satisfies your needs

HOW DO YOU USE A USB STICK

There are various types of USB sticks or adapters. The most common is an USB memory stick and they come in memory capacities from 256Mb to 32Gb or more.
The USB memory sticks are use to transfer data from a computer to a memory stick and vice versa (ie. copy data from one computer to another computer).
To copy data to and from a USB memory stick, all you have to do is to plug the memory stick into the USB port of a computer, the computer will recognize it as an external memory device.
Wait a few seconds and click to open the memory stick, just like openning a folder on your hard disk. You can then open the hard disk and copy data files from the hard disk to the memory stick in the same way if you were copying data to a floppy disk.

Usb stick not usable

Because its beyond 4Gb that's why its already detected as a disk drive.

You can still save your files here. Have you already tried?

If so, what is the exact error you are getting?

Kingston U3 Flash Drive malfunctioning

. have you tried the Flash on another PC?? if it's the same error you get, i am afraid you Flash has a Malfunction. The only option is to format the device & use a Data recovery software to recover the data on the disk. but this is not guaranteed as there is a chance of you loosing some data as well the recovery cost

Pen drive

First thing is you can try to detect your pen drives with Linux.

(DSL Linux is just about 50 MB download. You'll need to burn it on to a CD as an IMAGE and not copy on the CD directly, then boot with the CD.It will automatically mount your USB drive and you can cpy the data to your hard disk and later format the USB drive.)

Get it from here: http://damnsmalllinux.org/download.html

If that too fails, then you can try recovering using a data recovery software. Or contact me and I can personally help but a live chat session would be better since posting here will take and waste time. You could contact me on

rsletters-fixya@yahoo.com

and then we can proceed to chat and solve this issue. I won't take any charge. I'll be happy helping getting the data since I know how it feels to lose precious data.

HTH,
