51.22 error According to the manual it may be a hardware problem. Turning off and on and initialising makes no difference, it continues to read 51.22 error.

51.22 Error Turn off then on Error message 51.22 Error Turn off then on Description Magenta laser scanner error. The device has experienced an internal hardware error. Action

  1. Turn off the power by using the power switch, wait at least 30 seconds, and then turn on the power and wait for the device to initialize.
  2. If a surge protector is being used, remove it. Plug the device directly into the wall socket. Use the power switch to turn on the device.
  3. If the problem continues, contact HP Customer Support Center for technical assistance at http://www.hp.com/support/clj2600n or see the flyer that came in the printer box for additional contact information.
If the above doesn't work, it's the laser unit that is faulty - from about £30 for the part (if you look for and ask people who supply parts for these printers on auction websites), but a bit of a pig to replace. A good 2nd user machine might be the most expedient solution.

Error 6800

According to the service manual error code 6800 means that "A problem occurred in reading from or writing to the EEPROM". The suggested parts replacement is the logic board. See page 12/64 in the service manual.

You find the service manual here: http://elektrotanya.com/canon_pixma_mp560sm.pdf/download.html and the parts catalog here: http://elektrotanya.com/canon_pixma_mp560pc.pdf/download.html

For download of files from electrotanya see this post for instructions: http://www.nifty-stuff.com/forum/viewtopic.php?pid=61324#p61324

I think that turning the printer off and disconnecting power for some minutes and then reconnecting power and turning on the printer doesn't make the error go away?

I don't know if clearing the EEPROM from service mode will remove the error, but you lose the printer history and absorber counter value in doing so. You might also have to uninstall and reinstall the printer to get the display language back to English. Probably the logic board error will prevent the printer from starting, so no service mode operations will be possible?

If you want to give the service mode a try, then I recommend studying the service manual p. 47/64 to 54/64 incl and this thread: http://www.nifty-stuff.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=7416

But sadly I think the error 6800 means printer kaput clear.png

Nothing is printing. The computer says it's "Printer Pen Failure". What do I do next?

Hello,

According to HP's website, this error can usually be fixed (barring an actual hardware failure) by re-seating the ink cartridge, turning off printer then turning it back on.

Here is a link to HP's trouble shooting web page for this printer:

http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/documentSubCategory?tmp_task=solveCategory&lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&lang=en&product=374568

I hope this helps.

Best of luck!!

Thank you for contacting FixYa with your inquiry.
The HP4700 Printer The HP 4700 is a family of color LaserJet printers intended for use by work groups and small offices. The printer itself differs little from model to model with accessories including wireless printing options and various paper tray configurations.
Error Code 'Service Error 49.2' According to the user manual, 49.X error codes mean, "a critical firmware error has occurred." Firmware is Software that ties to specific hardware components. While occasionally this means hardwired programming, installed drivers often feed programming and instructions to modern devices.
Correcting the Error Firmware errors can often be corrected by turning the device off and on again. If this fails to correct the issue, reinstalling the driver software may correct the problem. If the problem persists, HP technical support should be contacted.

The printer is a Konika Minolta cf2002 DIALTA Colour, after initialising, the printer gives error code c0016 and 31C-M if the printer reports ready, when you sent a document it does not rpint, instead it...

The C0016 code means that the Black Imagine Unit's Motor is not turning. So you will need to check all the connections and connectors on the black imaging unit and try re-installing. You could replace it if you have a spare.
The 31C-M code is not in my service manual and I have never seen that code before.

I got an error message 5010 when I was trying to fax, but can't find in the manual I have what 5010 is and how to resolve it. Thanks you!

5010 is a scanner error that you can get if the scanner lock is locked, and also if you put a heavy book on the glass and stop the scanner. Canon only sells the scan assembly as a whole unit around $150.00

Black Lines and Very Harsh noise on a new Tonner. No printing with New tonner

Those printer tonners are very tricky to refill and a bad refill induse on bad printing so you can clean the drum (the round green thing) with isopropilic alchool. If it continues it indicates that the blade ( inside tonner plastic blade that cleans the excess tonner powder) is durty and you can clean it too with the same alchool. If it continues replace the tonner cartridge.

Installation

Could be your USB drivers for the actual port itself is giving you troubles. What you can do is this. Unplug the printer! Go to Device Manager(Right-click on my computer then click Properties, click on Hardware Tab then press Device manager Button) Look under Universal Serial Bus Controller. Is there a device with a yellow exclamation? if there is, right click on it and uninstall. Go to the top of the list the right click on your computer name and click on Scan for hardware changes! If it finds new hardware and prompts for drivers,(If asks to check online, select no, not at this time) select Install from specific location, then click next, Select the top one(Search these specific locations, and uncheck everything else)!! Next. It should go all the way through, if you get a propmt about unsigned driver click continue anyway! If it goes through try connecting your printer if not it will end in with an error, get back to me with the exact error!! Also your pc might require chipset drivers!! Get back to me with your computer specs if the above doesn't help! regards, babb
