Hii,
Assuming that this is a windows logon password (not a BIOS password): we have two more choices... either we might be using vista or an XP..
However if you are lucky enough to have XP you may try loggin using a guest or default admin account under safe mode (* by tapping F8 key when computer boots) and then change the password NOTE: even this procedure might require you to remember the password under change password screen and might sometimes be helpful., you can even try doing a system restore :) .
And if we use VISTA.. we might try the above procedure but it is seldom helpful. so we need to take help of other tools like Offline NT Password and Registory Editor.
If you use XP a simple googling might help to hack your password, for Vista you either need to reinstall it again or try third party tools as the one mentioned above.
THE LINK FOR OFFLINE NT PASSWORD AND REGISTORY EDITOR IS:

I dont know my password for my laptop & I need to reboot it & remove my password to access it , can you help ?

Is this the login password, the system password, or the hard disk drive password? If it is just the login password then try logging in to safe mode. When you reboot your computer hit the f8 key until it goes into the different logins menu. Select safe mode and go in and either change the password or create a new account without a password and give it administrative rights. Now you can reboot your computer to normal windows mode and change, add, or delete usernames/passwords. If the problem is the system/cmos password or the hard drive password, contact your system manufacter's website (i.e. www.hp.com, www.dell.com, etc.) and find out if it is possible to do this. Some systems allow you to reset it by removing and replacing the cmos battery. Others require you to contact the manufacturer through their outlets and provide a receipt for you computer before the can reset it for you. It just depends on what kind of laptop you have. Hope this helps. Good luck!

I dont remember my password for my laptop to come on. It stops at the first windows screen.what do i need to do to reboot it

If you forgot your password then don't worry just follow the easy steps and you can log in without password.
  1. First unplug all the power connections for safety
  2. Open the back cover of your laptop
  3. Look for the BIOS battery which is circular in shape mostly found on the corners of the mother board
  4. Remove that battery and wait foe few minutes
  5. Then again fix it on its place.
  6. Start now it will not ask for password.
Thanks.
Have a great day.

My comouter asks for a password when trying to reboot. How can I bypass the password?

Try TOSHIBA as the password. It works on most of their laptops. I'm not sure about desktops but it's worth a shot! :) Also try holding ESC while it's booting before the password prompt comes up. That sometimes works too. Good luck!

Compaq NC6320 laptop pc with "stringent" security power on password set. How do I get around this? RTC does not control this password.

remove the laptop battery and the plug to your bios (small) battery on the motherboard wait about ten minutes then plug the bios battery back in power the computer back up using the power supply not the battery then: shutdown and, reboot again after you have reinserted your laptop (large) battery; you should have all passwords removed.

If you dont know the password or have forgotten it, just remove the power and hold the reset in under the bottom of the unit in, reconnect the power and count for 7 sec. lights will flash and the password will be default again. It resets it back to factory settings.

Unplug the power to your computer and take out the battery if it's a laptop. Then open it up and take out the battery on the motherboard for about 15 to 30 seconds put the battery back in and it should be cleared.
