Question about Aiwa Audio & Video Receivers

1 Answer

I have an older Aiwa stereo, model OX-8O31 WJ, with which the power button (standby) is stuck and will not power on. I had another problem where the digital display would go dark and when I pushed on the face, it would come back on. The remote causes the red light on the power button to blink, but no response. Any ideas? Thanks for your help......

Stuck in standby mode on Fisher RS-911A receiver

Does it power up or straight to standby? If it is on but in standby it could be speaker protection issues...check speaker wires and/or speakers for issues. If it's straight to standby and no power, it's repair shop time.

I HAVE ONE AIWA CXNS32HR ,NOW I AM FACING SOME PROBLEM WITH THIS SYSTEM ITS DISPLAY IS SHOWING STANDBY AND SELF DEMONSTRATION NO OTHER FUNCTIONS ARE WORKING, ANYBODY CAN HELP ME

you should check the voltage of "O-POWER" on main board (PCB Front and side), and stress "STD-BY" there should be 5 volts when the power button is turned on. if no response, the damage was in power system regulators or the EEPROM IC with the code "D780228GF" or D780226GF ". you have to replace the IC or other parts in the regulator. transistors and diodes.

There is a fuse inside. If it blows when you replace it there it could ba a problem in the standby power circuit.

Does not power up.

chuck05,

You might try to find a reset button on the back of the unit. Also, the Aiwa website may have a "support" staff that can see if they have an archived manual or tell you which buttons to push. Also, check to see if the unit has a fuse in back. Finally, check a website called audio.manualsonline.com . It's a free deal where people exchange manuals and information.

I have a Aiwa Stereo Receiver Av-D58. The sound

If I remember this model correctly, there is only 1 direct input. The remainder of the inputs are bufferred through a switching IC. It is likely that this IC is defective. Are there any other symptoms at all?

Thanks,
Dan
