How long will a stock UPS fan last? What is the best replacement should I use? I need a UPS replacement fan that would last at least 2 years.

Run ups without cooling fan

You give little information, can you tell us more?
If the UPS is in a sufficiently cold room it can last without a fan.
But better is if you use a UPS Line Interactive mode fashion.
It is quiet until it starts working.

Can I replace the fan in a live powerware 9120?

hey dude your problem is so simple..below are my solutions.
if you already secured the fans for the replacement then its easy for you to do it, try to totally shut down your UPS removing the input and battery supply. avoid replacing the fans with power, its to dangerous. it consist of almost 400VDC inside in it.

Fan fault 007

Most likely, you have a faulty fan. The best thing to do is to get a replacement fan and install it. With UPS Systems such as these, the fan is usually user serviceable. Consult your manual for more information.

The cooling fan is probably not working. Unit will overheat. Check the fan to see if it run continuously with no scraping noise with the UPS turned "ON". If the fan does not run, open the case and replace the fan.

Matrix 3000 "bottom fan fail" need a replacement fan. APC said they don't have in stock and is discontinued.

The APC Matrix-UPS 3000 Isolation Unit IU bottom fan APC part number appears to be 490-0006-A. There are three OEM parts that APC appears to have used:
NMB Technologies 4715KL-05W-B30-P00
Japan Servo CNDC24B7-34
Sunon KDE2412PMB1-6A
But any fan that has the following specs should work:
119mm x 119mm x 38mm, plastic (black) 94V-0, ball bearing, 2-wire, 24 VDC (9.0V min, 10V to 27.6V), 2800 RPM, 80 CFM min, 41 dbA max

PS2 Cooling Fan not spinning

well could just be shot fans are not suppose to last forever the best thing to do would be replace the fan, make sure that the fan is not plugged up with anything and it has free movement when spinning if it struggles any then its seized up which would have to be replaced measure the fan and take a look on ebay for a replacement fan of that size but if you search for ps2 fan replacement then chances are that it will cost alot more.

if you need help finding a replacement let me know im more then willing to help out.

good luck
