Question about Lexmark X5470 All-In-One InkJet Printer

Hello hope you can help me

I recently had my I.T. guy totally wipe everything off my p.c. and install and upload the software back on it. Whatever thats how he dose it I don't know this stuff I get by.

Any how I have a year old Lexmark scanner printer copier & love it but The software for it (the C.D. that came with it) up and vanished like a fart in the wind so I was wanting to know if you could send something via email or whatever that I could copy and post or again what ever? I really need to use this thing tonight I'm sure I can come up with something on my own in a few days but I wanted it tonight or first thing tomorrow.

If you do not have the disk you download software from Internet, follow instructions below,

Click here: DRIVERS & DOWNLOADS -- Lexmark United States

A web page will open, select operative system etc., and click on download .
Chose to download the file in my documents when asked.
Afterdownloading,findthefile, double click on the file, if you get introubles ,thenfollowinstructions below to reset and reinstall:


  • Unplug printer USB.
  • Go to control panel >> installed printers in Windows and remove (delete ) any installed printer from printer list.
  • Download driver from website and run the file.
  • Follow driver installation wizard.
  • Plug back printer when prompted from installation wizard.

Hi,

Do you have Canon Solution software installed on your computer. It should have been installed when you installed the drivers.

If you have it, click on the scan button. Once scanned, you should have an option to Save as PDF.

If you do not have it, comment back and I will try to connect you with Canon to download the total software package.

When I switch on my copier I get this sentence: DOWNLAOD STANDBY and it des'nt work


Hello Mustafa,
This could be an ugly situation as your copier has suddenly decided that it needs to load new system software. Why this has happened is not knowable as there are many possibilities. If you have a service contract and a trained tech to come by then YOU NEED HIM/HER as loading new system software should fix the problem. But if you don't (which I assume is the case) then we shall proceed. If you know how to use the REMOTE USER INTERFACE(RUI) then you should use it to back up your settings on the copier by going to "additional functions" and exporting all the settings for your copier and storing your address book, user settings and all other customizations you may have to a folder on your PC because the fix I about to give you will wipe all that out, but it should get rid of your problem. You may also wish (I recommend it) to walk up to the device and go into additional functions and go to "reports" and print out your network configuration as this will go away as well.Ok, we are going to "clear" the memory of your device which will reset everything including the whatever "garbage data" that is causing this message. Lets enter service mode. Press "additional functions" once then press the number 2 and release, then the number 8 and release then additional functions again. You will see the screen change. Use the left or right arrow buttons below the screen to scroll until until you see "CLEAR". Press the ok button between the arrows. Now scroll till you see "ALL". Press "OK". This will totally reset the machine. Depending on what kind of system software exists on the copier you may see please wait but the device will reboot on it's own. After it does, unplug the copier and then plug it back in. This should fix your problem. Now you need to reload the settings by manually doing so. First load your network settings (IP address, subnet mask etc...) and then power off and on again once your network settings have been input. Wait 60 seconds and then you can use the remote user interface to import(restore) the settings you had previously exported so your addresss book and stuff will be restored..This should make everything ok. But I recommend that some time soon you have the most recent version of system software loaded on your device and NO an end user can't do it. I need a instruction manual for a Canon printer

Please find the file "On-Screen Manual" for your printer by clicking here.
First find the file named "CANON_MP240_Onscreen_Manual.zip" on the list.
Click the download link under that file and download it.
Unzip the downloaded file and run the ".exe" file to install.
Hope this helps.
NOTE: The file which I uploaded will stay there for a limited time (at least for two weeks). That was uploaded only for you to find and download easily.

Everything works but the scanning, it says i need to install or run a software for this feature! please help!


Hello, the software to use for the HP scanners is called "HP Image Zone" and can be found in your install cd or in HP's website.

I can not scan from my 2610xi photosmart printer. Says I need to install the software. HELP!!


Have you tried updating the drivers from HP's website? I know when I recently upgrade my Internet Explorer it for some reason messed with the software I had installed for the HP Photosmart 2610. I reinstalled the software and uploaded the most recent drivers and eventually got everything to work fine again. So I am wondering if maybe one of the patches/upgrades the Microsoft sends down may have messed with your software as well....Hope that helps.

Re-install my printer


gives this a shot unplug the usd or whatever plug you have to the computer and thn unplug the power to the printer
then restart computer . then plug everything back in but plug in power plug furst. i hope this works

Need software installation disc.


If you do not have the disk you must download the software from Internet, follow instructions below,

Click here:PIXMA office all in one inkjet printer

A web page will open, follow instructions, select model, select operative system etc., and click on download .
Chose to download the file in my documents when asked.
After downloading, find thefile, double click on the file , then if you get in troubles,follow theinstructions below to reset and reinstall drivers:

  • Unplug printer USB.
  • Go to control panel >> installed printers in Windows and remove (delete ) any installed printer from printer list.
  • Download driver from website, or use the disk and run the install file.
  • Follow driver installation wizard.
  • Plug back printer when prompted from installation wizard.
Note:some printer does notwork on Vista, if you do not find any driverdownloadfor Vistaonyourmodel page, that means your model is not Vista compatible.

Language change


This happened to me too!
I just moved my EPSON CX4200 printer to another computer in my house and when I installed the software, it installed it in French!
This makes no sense, as it didn't do that the first time I installed it on the other computer.
I have e-mailed Epson Support about the problem, but who knows if I will actually get an answer. I will post it here if I do.
